Watching the highlights on LIV Golf’s YouTube streaming channel…Jumps around from shot to shot, scores down left side of screen is distracting…Crowds seem decent…Not too many “walking billboards” other than a few equipment logos on hats and Master Card logo or 2 on a collar…Lot of local business ad banners around the Tee boxes…
raggmann54 Not too many “walking billboards”
That's because they all lost their sponsors. Pretty soon guys will be wearing "Joe's Laundromat" on their hats

Par4QC To me though, he has been a wonder....playing with seemingly broken arms from patting himself on the back, at every turn.
That's my take on him, too. He's got little man's disease, always needing to prove he measures up. I didn't like when he beat Arnie's record of 50 Masters then tried to play it off as some type of testament to physical fitness or some BS. No Gary, you just wanted the record for yourself
Par4QC I think the Euro tour is really in a tough spot. They already seemed to be fading. They can’t afford to lose good players. So this new tour could hurt them badly. They almost have to allow the players to stay or join up, for their own survival.
I don’t know what degree of solidarity they have with the PGA Tour.
DonM I think the Euro tour is really in a tough spot
I disagree, and I already addressed this earlier.
About time a journalist caught up with a Spuzzmusing or two
LOL
The DP Tour is in a good spot.
They should carry on as is and allow their own members to play their own tour, whomever they may be.
They don't owe the PGA Tour anything. It might be the opposite.
Eguller My take is that they feed off each other
Only because the Euro Tour made compromises to allow their members to play BOTH tours.
Working together to try and keep their members/employees happy and not suspending them because they took a my way or the highway approach. They even adjusted the rules to allow it (less required DP Events for eg.)
This is why I would continue on as is, as the DP Tour has been consistent all along.
LIV may suck, but it should be treated as just another tour and as long as DP and PGA Tour members are fulfilling their membership obligations, I don't see why suspensions and fines are necessary. It's petty.
If LIV really sucks it will go away on its own. Even people that can afford to throw away money will stop doing it eventually. I’ll admit I don’t really have any interest in tours outside of the PGA and LPGA tours, but those are my “home” tours.
As far as the blood money goes, I don’t know Khashoggi or his activities enough to know why the leadership wanted him dead. Being a dissident shouldn’t be enough to get you killed, but it does in many parts of the world and is largely ignored.
Eguller might just be the problem
It is the problem.
How can the "best Tour to play golf on" have so many unhappy employees?
It is more complex now because the PGA has pandered to Tiger for so long, they don't have a plan B.
They played favourites for so long (letting him play when and where he wanted) and now they changed the rules to make the "stars" play in places they never played before or often, because they didn't want to.
I am guessing that's another part of the equation.
It's worked out for our Canadian Open, but I bet that's the exception.
The LIV Tour is for the over 40 guys (as I said before) and if losing those guys is what the PGA is afraid of, then they have a bigger problem than a half-assed exhibition tour stealing the limelight.
