DonM I think the Euro tour is really in a tough spot. They already seemed to be fading. They can’t afford to lose good players. So this new tour could hurt them badly. They almost have to allow the players to stay or join up, for their own survival.
I don’t know what degree of solidarity they have with the PGA Tour.

They very well could be in a tough spot. Possibly worse than the PGA Tour. They made an 'historic strategic alliance' with the PGA Tour last year. They can't afford to lose too many of their players. So far they've remained mostly silent on what if any action will be taken regarding players playing in LIV Golf events.

"The circuit, formerly known as the European Tour, has stayed silent through the LIV Golf drama but the PGA Tour finally took action yesterday afternoon.
They are in a "strategic alliance" with American tour but are yet to announce what disciplinary measures - if any - they will introduce."
In May they followed the PGA Tour and did block any releases for LIV Golf events. So the obvious question is what consequences will (if any) take place for those that went ahead with playing in LIV Golf tournaments.
