Bravopilot it is fairly straight, yes par 4 #6. Longest hole on the course
I zoomed in on the 1st pic and cropped it to show a view of the green, grewnside bunker on the left, and you can kinda see the white flag for the hole.

Golf course is Zaca Creek GC

Here is the best site with a course tour, hole yardages, and course layout. You can select the hole, and check them one by one, or watch the full flyover. We even have a go cart track in the driving range.

Only thing I'll say about today's round is....those Ping G2 irons are still like cheating. I call them Stevie Wonder clubs.
That, and the Paradym X driver head is the noisiest head Callaway ever put out. What a racket it makes. But got to a couple 100yd. markers I normally only see while driving past them.😲

VigilanteTrail we can only do so much with what we have. The course needs a few teeth.... It is a fun little course! Great place to work on irons and short game. I'll have to see about getting pics of #5. As a right handed player, you really need to be able to draw the ball a little bit to keep it out of the pines on the left. Otherwise, a straight ball will put you on the right side of the fairway or green.

Walterjn The one with all the trees directly on the left side of the tee box . with the chain link fence. 6 looks awful too. I imagine its just the camera

I’m starting to mess around with one of my pocket zoom cameras to photo some of our golf holes. Here’s our second hole. It’s 215 yards downhill to the pond. Then over the pond, from a downhill lie, to the green. Short of the green but dry is okay. Over the green is jail, and right side does not hold shots very well.

We try to get as far as we can from the tee so we can have a short iron in, without rolling into the pond. With varying winds and turf conditions, it’s a challenge to pick a club. My default is 4 wood. Today, wet and into the wind, was the driver. It can be as little as 5 iron or hybrid.

When we moved here I bought a yardage book. Here’s my notes on this green. I ignore the right/red pin and always shoot for the green oval.

Typhoon yeah, and I've been playing the course irons only lately. 4 iron off #6 blues. To get the ball down there as far as I can.
    5 iron off the whites.

Team game, and a beautiful day. I shot 82 with 7 greens and 30 putts. I managed to lose 3 balls, which is bad for me. One of them hit a house. Made a loud sound but no damage. When you switch from an arm swing to a body swing, and you forget to turn on the back swing, the pull hook OB is a definite possibility. 😑

We definitely won some money, nothing large though.

Went over to the east coast to visit family. Played Sebastian Municipal yesterday. Played a match against my brother in law. We both shot 83’s, but I beat him 1 up. He had two birdies to my one.

He was up most of the way, but I caught him on the back and went up by 2 and hung on for the win. Very windy and the front nine’s greens were in rough shape. They put the wrong chemical on we were told. All in all a beautiful day of golf.

Shot 71 yesterday in our men’s club event and picked up the only skin worth $350. Much better than my normal scores and actually no real indicators a hot round was coming my way. I’m just gonna enjoy this one because I might not see another one like it

77, 31. Hit way too many greens to have a lower putt total. Not sure if I've ever broke 80 on this course before.
The greens were, without doubt, faster than anything they've played on at The Masters this week, & I'd bet on it! Why, in early April, with all the rain we've had, are those greens brown and hard...Sept. greens for that course? Rest of the place was excellent.

Paradym 3 & 5, Paradym X 7, are like darts. I have never hit fw clubs that went that straight, nor are that easy to hit. I can't get the 3 to go as far as I'd like, but without overswinging, as long as it is straight...I'm going to accept what it gives me.

Tried the new TaylorMade Speedsoft balls again. Garbage, imo. Not even a good ball for us slow fellas, who they were supposedly made for. Short off every club.
Should be $5/doz. at RBG by end of summer. And I would not buy more for $5. 😲

Another great day, 85*, Jake and his Dad in the group. (I beat them both, btw.😅)

42 (par 33 9 holer) in a scramble with my 11 y/o (his second time playing). We used 17 of his shots so he was thrilled. Probably the best day I’ve had on a golf course!

Jelopster 42 (par 33 9 holer) in a scramble with my 11 y/o (his second time playing). We used 17 of his shots so he was thrilled. Probably the best day I’ve had on a golf course!

Congrats! That's a great way to introduce a boy to playing the game without his having to feel like the game is "too hard." Enjoy his growth as his game improves! I can't even remember anymore the first times I took either of my sons out to play, but they're 53 and 47 years old now, both love to play, and an occasional round with them is absolutely one of my favorite things to do! Along those same lines, here's a picture my son just sent us yesterday of him and his 4-year-old at Golf Galaxy!
