DonM nah, he's too busy playing 'moving company'...
When he's finally done with that he'll discover that the 'moving company' lost, damaged, destroyed all his clubs and he'll have to go find 6 new sets to get back into playing.
Well, either that, or taking care of Sophie...
Hey Steve @sdandrea1 , how's she doing??

1 over on a day with 20-40 mpg winds. Finally made a few putts over 6 feet. One chip in. Feeling like under par is just around the corner as long as I stay retired and don't take another job. šŸ˜

Played Crooked Tree in Tucson . Pretty nice course, absolutely great greens. All round nice conditions. Shot 88 . Only hit 3 greens, I suck.

Played river course with a buddy today. I didn't do so well today. My goal was double bogey and under. That didn't happen. I ended up with 3 8's on the card. 2 of them were on par 4 holes. 4, 7's one of those was on a par 3... I had a hard time getting out of a bunker on 17. I had 6 three putts, most of those were on the back 9. 6 two putts, and 5 one putts today. If I take a few of those 3 putts, and the 1 putts, and average them out, I could have only one 3 putt...šŸ˜ all total I had a great day, for losing as many balls as I did, I put 2 into the drink, that hurt....
      51-56/ 107....
I had some nice shots, and some bad shots, it was a good day, until the back 9 and the pair of older ladies behind us kept nipping at out heels. I let that get into my head, and throw off my game... they never hit very far, they did have a cart each, and would hit and drive, hit, and drive. One hole they were less than 100 yards and hitting as we were walking off the green. Ball went about 50 yards on the ground. Was a little unnerving. I shall see about doing better next time!
Funny thing was I wasn't seeing my power fade much. I was seeing a solid draw, to a hook. It was different... I need more range time....

Par4QC From not working out seriously since Covid I lost muscle and it drove me nuts. Like you , I havenā€™t lost any distance. I joined my old pre Covid gym so there is a program and Iā€™m looking to build up a bit again. Donā€™t think Iā€™ll gain distanceā€¦ who knowsā€¦ Iā€™m old. Not Rex old, but old. Iā€™ve said before my goal is to not LOSE distance.

DonM $64 which was reasonable. I'm finding the courses here to be way better than Florida condition wise and price wise. And of course with the mountains the views are always great.

Cold day and a cold north wind, and CPO. Two holes were closed for flooding and one was turned into a par 3. Depending on what the USGA black box gives me for the two holes, I shot either 82 or 83. I hit one green with a 50 yard wedge, one with 6 hybrid, and 3 with fairway woods. None with irons, of course. šŸ˜•

Short game was good except when I had soggy lies. I was awful there. Birdied the 18th which is a very tough hole.

Local store has a used 7/8 iron Wedgewood for $35. I think Iā€™ll buy it tomorrow. Alice Cooper here we go.

DonM I play those occasionally. Originally bought them for my wife but in my struggles I've tried everything. Mine are the original version. I think they're ok. They are old school lofts and iron length shafts so will likely go shorter than you would expect at least for me. They do want to go high and straight. Some make a funny metallic sound, some don't. For awhile the 22* was an absolute magic club for me. I'll be interested in what you think.

Played Apache Creek last Sunday. Shot 43-39. Solid round on an easy course tee through fairway with really tough greens. Vwey solid round for me lately. Worst part, paid $95 for this local goat track that should be $45 at best.

.please see my below post for price retribution.

Played today at, "The Nicklaus Legacy Design Course at Vidanta Puerto PeƱasco" In Rocky Point Mexico today. Shot 46-46. Hit some fairways, hit some greens, made some putts. Paid $79 for this.

Played Arizona National today. $120 but an absolute gem of a course. Fantastic conditions and great views. Robert Trent Jones Jr. Course.
I shot 41-47-88. I was playing really well ( surprisingly). Hit every FW on the front. Only hit two greens but a couple at least I hit the green but couldn't hold the firm greens.
I played so bad the first two days I tweaked my back and hurty wrist. Well the back acted up on the back 9 and I was getting a sharp stabbing pain in the mid back. Almost quit around 15 but struggled to the finish.
Great day, great fun with two other really fun guys .
Oh, and in the distance isn't everything dept one of the guys who played the white tees with me hit the driver 280 average and hit one 328. I shot 41 and he shot 52. Not sure what he shot on the back.

              .

                garyt1957 I play those occasionally.

I have decided to not spend $40 on the old club, and buy a new Eleven Golf 8 hybrid instead. It's like a modern Wedgewood. If I like it, I'll buy 5-PW. It's time for me to do it. Irons are probably costing me 3-5 strokes per round. And the component heads out there are not what I am looking for.

I had one of those rare days today where everything seems to be working - drove the ball well, hit a lot of good approach shots and holed a few putts. Add in a reasonably warm day with little wind and a bit of give in the ground, as well as still being on the shorter winter course, and it was an ideal day for scoring - was able to take advantage, going round in 64 with six birdies and two bogeys (it's a par 68, with no par 5 holes).
