LBlack14 I ran the timeclock/scoreboard for both boys and girls games at our high school for over 20 years, and I have ALWAYS felt that the same refs who do a credible job at boys games do a half-assed job calling girls games. It's almost as if the SAME refs have the attitude that "hey...they're only girls....let's get the game over with!" And I've also felt that whether it's a boys or girls game, high school refs swallow their whistles in the last minute or so, when the game is on the line. I've even heard refs say, "Well, we want to let the athletes decide the outcome of the game, not the officials!" An effing cop out, IMO.....a violation is a violation!
