sdandrea1 Turns out I might just be in a big fucking hurry.

No, you are an old fart like me. Could be you just have to take a leak really bad. I agree with everything you posted. My fav is sitting at a red light in traffic then the light turns green. The asshole in front of you sits there fucking with their phone totally oblivious to the light and you have to honk at them. They then look in the mirror then flip you off then drive on just as the light turns red leaving you stopped again. Or you blow through the red light and get tagged with a $189 ticket for the red light. Grrr.....

sdandrea1 The Drum Hill rotary in Chelmsford is unreal because not only do the lanes crossover or disappear, but the overhead signs don’t line up with the lanes. Oh, and they put in traffic lights.

Wellington Circle in Medford is one where the signs are wrong to where the corresponding lanes are. And again, no painted lanes was better.

Santilli Circle in Everett rivals Drum Hill but is possibly worse because of the shopping center and the traffic lights that back up traffic across the rotary so it’s in constant gridlock

What's the deal with splitting the tab at the restaurant? Who came up with this stupidity?

I order a tuna melt and some chips with a free glass of ice water with lemon. They ordered a steak, baked potato, and dessert. And that's not counting the 4 beers! But now, suddenly, we're on some kind of communist meal plan where everybody pays the same? GTFO.

Four beers! Do you know what four beers costs at a restaurant? That's a car payment! I'm picking lemon seeds out of the tap water I'm drinking and nibbling on my humble little tuna sandwich like a monk, and somehow I owe the same amount as the guy who's eating like it's his last supper?

Of course there's always that one person who goes, "Well, it all evens out in the end." Bullshit! It never evens out! When I order lobster and a bottle of wine? "Oh no! No no no. Let's just pay individually."

So now I've got to choose between being that guy - the guy who pulls out the calculator and becomes the CPA of dinner - or just accepting that I'm subsidizing somebody's drinking problem.

    This madness never ends!

Walterjn just start with "separate bills please." End the bullshit at the start.

Exactly….. When 4 of us went to lunch after the round we always requested separate checks. No one ever had a problem with it.

I had the same thing happen on a golf trip a year ago. i get a burger and a coke.........$17. Everyone else is getting apps, booze dessert... everyone owes $45. I loudly say NO, and look like an asshole. No mind you i am a generous guy i will pick up the check for the whole table at a few hundred buck without even thinking about it but that day it was just too much for me because i wasn't really hungry but went with the group anyway. It was like i was there to subsidize their dinner.

The kid is having a birthday party, so you go out an order a cake for $35.
Then you turn around on the internet bitching about the price of eggs.

        3 eggs @ $6/dozen(high side)
        $1.25 for cake mix
        $1.25+/- for the frosting pre-made
A little oil, a little water

        Cake = under $5

STFU about the price of eggs will ya'll???

But buy that gawddam $15/lb. beef!!! Idiots.

          propman
😄And thankfully, we no longer need those kid's birthday cakes.
Hell, we'd go broke what with the cost of eggs.

The thing about birthday cakes is you can just go in a buy one whenever you want. They don't check or anything.

Cosco and WalMart always have birthday cakes available and they're both pretty good too.

            Par4QC 3 eggs @ $6/dozen(high side)

Maybe where you're at... not here. Almost 2x last weekend.

azgreg yeah, maybe I was reading the wrong price tags..
I believe the med size was marked @ $9.99/ doz. Large @ $10.99/ doz and 18 large was $14.99.

Pretty easy to just bake a frickin' cake from scratch, tbh. Saves a lot of money.

Damn, eggs here are not that high. Haven’t seen one place out of eggs either.

Rex, birthday cakes have been out of control for a while now. The last couple years instead us buying a big 8” round cake we buy one half the size… almost looks like a personal size cake and everyone gets a sliver. Cakes not good for ya anyway…. Less is better.

$8.89 for 18 here in MS. Still too high (this is a complaint thread after all).
