The Complaint Thread
Walterjn just start with "separate bills please." End the bullshit at the start.
Exactly….. When 4 of us went to lunch after the round we always requested separate checks. No one ever had a problem with it.
I had the same thing happen on a golf trip a year ago. i get a burger and a coke.........$17. Everyone else is getting apps, booze dessert... everyone owes $45. I loudly say NO, and look like an asshole. No mind you i am a generous guy i will pick up the check for the whole table at a few hundred buck without even thinking about it but that day it was just too much for me because i wasn't really hungry but went with the group anyway. It was like i was there to subsidize their dinner.
The kid is having a birthday party, so you go out an order a cake for $35.
Then you turn around on the internet bitching about the price of eggs.
3 eggs @ $6/dozen(high side)
$1.25 for cake mix
$1.25+/- for the frosting pre-made
A little oil, a little water
Cake = under $5
STFU about the price of eggs will ya'll???
But buy that gawddam $15/lb. beef!!! Idiots.
The thing about birthday cakes is you can just go in a buy one whenever you want. They don't check or anything.
Cosco and WalMart always have birthday cakes available and they're both pretty good too.
Pretty easy to just bake a frickin' cake from scratch, tbh. Saves a lot of money.
Damn, eggs here are not that high. Haven’t seen one place out of eggs either.
Rex, birthday cakes have been out of control for a while now. The last couple years instead us buying a big 8” round cake we buy one half the size… almost looks like a personal size cake and everyone gets a sliver. Cakes not good for ya anyway…. Less is better.

$8.89 for 18 here in MS. Still too high (this is a complaint thread after all).
I just ordered a chicken and an egg from Amazon.
I'll let you know.

johnnydoom Still too high
Ok, tell me why? And how anyone can figure that making any sense. Just because they have perennially been dirt cheap?
But no one complains when they buy a new vehicle for $50K that used to cost under $4K. Does anyone complain about the cost of a pack of gum today? C'mon.....eggs are cheap at $6/dozen. Even at $8.
Yes, eggs are eggs....and vehicles are vehicles....to me.
Par4QC no one complains when they buy a new vehicle for $50K
I've been complaining about car, and particularly pickup prices for many years. I'm driving a Scion iM because I refused to pay car prices as they have been over the past 15 years, not because it is what I really want to drive. The still too high comment on eggs was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, if I really thought that I would not buy them. There are plenty of other things to eat.
