I started on GEA before the 4.

Only heard about FGI because of the first Desert Storm. I was only 1 of 2 from GEA to show up. (That Was Mr Happy for those who remember ...)

The AZ Mafia took pity on me and convinced me to switch allegiance.

I've never looked back.

Some lifelong friends have been from "Men meeting men on the internet"!!!

Still have a couple of those great shafts, along with a poster of Victor!

ode CoachSB was a teacher and later social worker in Indiana, CPS if memory serves me correctly. I think he was one of the moderators that got caught with their pants down when their private forum/messages meant for moderators only went public and some disparaging commentary re other members was in those message

Still wish I had seen those posts before they disappeared.

Him and his wife were good folks. Religious, but not Catholic, iirc. Pentecostal possibly. Used to talk on the phone a bit. I actually sold stuff on the net for Christian. Not sure what happened, just lost touch.

The first component I bought was a Purefit hybrid head. Tim Hewitt made good posts about clubmaking. I also enjoyed his posts about phone calls from moronic customers.
