Would those of you that observed Mito's collapse say it was as bad or worse than Van de Velde at Carnoustie?

I don't think it looked as bad, but it was Mito's tournament to win or lose on the 18th. His swing did not look the same on the last 5-6 holes and his swing on #18 tee looked like a 15-25 capper. I give Mito credit for sticking around for interviews. Hopefully he gets a chance to redeem himself in the near future.
ode USGA could learn something from the bunkers at SH as to them being more of a hazard.
+1 except for the membership override.
Honestly, I would like to see that as a requirement for every tourney. A trap should not be an automatic bailout option.
My home course is nothing like Southern Hills except:
- you want to avoid the rough
- you NEVER want to go over a green
- only 2 par 5's
- the par 3's are really hard
- the course is hilly
- the bunkers are not easy to deal with
- hitting the fairway doesn't automatically mean you get a level lie or even a good look at the green
- the wind swirls
Actually my course is very much like Southern Hills except our club house would probably fit inside one of their maintenance sheds
I thought both Pereira and Zalatoris showed a lot of class in losing.

Pereiraโs 18th hole reminded me of Philโs 18th hole and ultimate loss in the U.S. Open at Wingfoot in 2006.
Sneakylong Man... Hard to believe that was in 2006. In my mind it was 8 to 10 years ago.
He was trying to steer it. The 5i was a decent swing but a poor drop yardage IMO.
Found the video on YouTube. Wow! What a strange driver swing for Mito...
