colej Sure he has the right, but it's like watching Willie May's strike out while hanging on with the Mets. Who wants to see that?

He’s still capable of playing good golf. There’s no arguing that point. Any person playing golf, softball, bowling even though they’re not gonna play at the elite level, they’re still gonna want to get out there.

Should have found the answers myself rather than get some golf discussion going. Congrats to JT on the second PGA

Epic choke by Pereira, tee shot, approach, and chip....if he pulls off any of them he's in playoff at worst. And Young and Fitzpatrick both pissed away chances down the stretch. JT the beneficiary of all that and takes out Zalatoris in the playoff. Nice approach on the first playoff hole after Zalatoris is on for an eagle look and then a great 3 wood for his own eagle look.

sdandrea1 Even though I watched all of it, I'm not so sure I'd ever consider this a 'comeback'. Unless referencing Mito's play at the end.

My apologies to Rory, though. Should have kept my mouth shut when he had the string going on the front 9. 😞

Par4QC I'm not so sure I'd ever consider this a 'comeback'.

I consider it a good example of why you should never give up on a round even if you're only "mathematically" in it.

KCee amen to that. It’s not often the field will come back 4 strokes while you can make up 3, but it CAN happen.

I watched a LOT of this tournament and what I want to know is why 99% of the tee shots on #18 were up the right side where the creek is? I could tell part of the fairway funneled shots that way, but it looked like there was room on the left side of the fairway.

I swear I saw maybe 6 shots in 4 days hit the left or left center of that fairway. Was there OB left? Was the wind always blowing hard Left to Right? Isn't aiming away from trouble Golf 101?

USGA could learn something from the bunkers at SH as to them being more of a hazard.

Overall course looks like a legit test for these guys, plenty long, but not crazy when you factor in the length of the par 3,s, rough = penal but fair, brought the flyer into play plenty, bunker and green complexes look super.

I agree, I thought the course was set up perfectly. Loved in particular the traps, and how the rough was hittable but brought the flyer into play, and going long was always trouble.

wishbone +1, would love to play that course from ~ 6400 yards; also looked to be a fair amount of elevation change!

              Fixed it...... 😉

Subsonic Would those of you that observed Mito's collapse say it was as bad or worse than Van de Velde at Carnoustie?

I don't think it looked as bad, but it was Mito's tournament to win or lose on the 18th. His swing did not look the same on the last 5-6 holes and his swing on #18 tee looked like a 15-25 capper. I give Mito credit for sticking around for interviews. Hopefully he gets a chance to redeem himself in the near future.
