Whatever makes the game easier and more enjoyable!! I don’t know why people punish themselves hitting blades when they can’t break 90 etc...
Out of my demo stuff from Ping I tried the G710 irons at the range. I liked them, easy to hit, go a mile straight!! Spins a little less but I’d figure it out good enough... I’m not on tour. They’re for higher handicappers but hey, who cares?!
Young guy at our club who was a friend of my youngest son. Shoots 85-92, bought Mizuno blades and has trouble with them he tells me. I told him I wouldn’t hit blades, they look nice, feel nice, but really serve no purpose for our level. I told him guys on tour use combo sets now, very few use blades. You’ll feel better about yourself shooting 77-79 with GI irons than you will a 92 with blades.
