Callaway AI Smoke Max D driver, 12 degree, Project X Cypher 40, 5.0 flex. Sounds different than the Paradym X, goes straight, feels solid, but the Aldila Ascent 40 from my Paradym X is softer in the tip. I'm going to try the Aldila in the AI Smoke and report to back.
Callaway AI Smoke HL irons on Project X Cypher 50, 5.0 flex. OMG. THE FIRST MODERN IRON I'VE EVER HIT THAT IS NOT CLICKY-FACED!!! Ball flight is high, straight and lands soft. Center struck shots are orgasmiclally soft - can't tell you hit a ball. Sound is supreme. Sole design is so friendly . Might be the best iron ever? HOLY GRAIL? I have the 8-AW, just ordered the GW (51 degree).
These are also the first strong lofted (43 degree PW) clubs I've owned that actually fly high and then bite for me. Could be the shaft is the perfect fit.

Say what? That is not strong. Even the 6i is only 27*.
I have the 6-AW, GW. 1 of those wedges is not needed. At least I found that to be true in my play.
They are launchers though even with steel S flex shafts!! But not extra distances per club, not for me. Great feel as you stated.
(Strong lofts + more distance= TM SIM Max irons.)

Jesus Christ… so there is a AW AND a GW??? They’re supposed to be the same club… gap wedge and approach wedge. That’s a new low to get a consumer to buy another club.
Nice to hear you’re getting the height! As I’ve said before, but nobody listens, is even though the loft is low, the moi and weighting are designed to maintain the proper height. The thing too is like our game improvement qi10 irons, they are geared toward golfers that weren’t producing the speed to be able to get the proper height so we came out with a High Launch version.
Very happy for you!

You can tell Papa D has snow… this thread got buried.
Let me say the new Ping G430 max 10 k is no better than the g400 max. Although not the same shaft… but still… not going to make a difference or at least much of a difference. I am eventually going to take the Paderson g400 adapter off and put the 430 on it but I don’t see it…
I stumbled across this video today……Bryson DeChambeau playing nine holes while using and reviewing Costco’s
Kirkland brand driver, irons, and putter…..! Interesting…..
fatshot Unfortunately, they don’t offer a senior flex
sdandrea1 I know!
Sometimes we get surprises in the golf world.
Last season I used A, R, S, and even an X(1 round). Some I could feel loading, some not. Surprisingly, the balls hit would all go the same route & distances. I ended up using a lot of the R flex shafts, but at 46".
Result of the experiment was, at our ages, .....for the most bone jarring experience on a golf course, one would use an X flex.
