Played Friday at a course I hadn't been to in a while. Was suppose to have a couple playing partners but that fell through so played as a solo. Plus the area the course is located was under heavy road construction which caused me to have to pass the course (exit was blocked off) and make a big long loop that cost me about 20 min. That meant no range time before the round. The course was in the worst shape I had ever seen it in, and I had to pick up my ball on the 1st hole because a course maintenance man got his mower stuck on the edge of a bunker right in the front of the green. If he would have moved off the green I might have attempted the approach over the mower, but he just moved back behind the mower. I didn't feel it was in either of our best interest to attempt it!
The wind was blowing like crazy, my tee shots were all over the place but I did manage to hit a few good irons throughout the round to at least make it a little bit fun. I didn't keep score, but was probably +12 on the day. Pretty bad for me.
