I shot 37-39-76 this morning at Bella Vista GC in Coldwater, Mich. Our travel group took a road trip (about an hour and a half from Toledo) b/c one of our guys commutes from there every week to play with us. Great course in beautiful condition!! 8 GIR, 1 birdie, 30 putts.

I shot 41-38-79 at Detwiler Park GC in Toledo, OH this morning. The greens today were the fastest I've played all season, combined with some "challenging" pin positions, which made putting a real challenge. 10 GIR, no birdies, and 35 putts.

I failed to beat the temp today. Was only 75* when I got done, and I needed to birdie that Par 5 18th hole to tie. Missed the 15'er.
37/39.....yeah, another 76. With yet another set of irons (new build, Acer XV standard) and different drivers in the bag than the last 3 76s.

Got 9 in early this afternoon. Really good weather. Started with 3 consecutive bogeys, but from 4 through 9 I was only one over, hitting all greens in regulation except one. Couldn't make a birdie putt, but I had a lot of chances, which is good. The more greens I hit, the lower my scores will go.

I played a rare Sunday round with #2 son who happened to be in town. We played Detwiler Park in Toledo, the same course I played just a couple of days ago. I shot 38-39-77 to his 83. I can see why we seniors play on weekdays only, as it was VERY slow (waited on nearly every shot!), but still a good time playing with my son.

That’s weekend golf for you! Doesn’t matter who you are… you gotta play during the week or forget it. As I’ve said before… nobody knows how long golf should take. Ask them and they say “we’re here for the day.” Weekend shooters are about drinking and driving a golf cart, not about the golf. You guys were a rarity!

Typhoon Yeah many of my recent rounds could have been under 80. I was good thru 8 and then tripled 9 and 10. I was a bit wild all day but my chipping and putting were saving me a lot. Oh well didn't lose money.
