I sent a package KY to Oregon on the 9th to be delivered on the 13th. No tracking updates since the 13th and it just says it's late and on the way. I took some flat rate boxes to the USPS today and chatted with the USPS clerk and she told me that there are several of the larger USPS sort centers that are totally jammed up.

I just noticed no mail to Canada due to a strike there. Fire the mother fuckers. And fire the striking Amazon workers affiliated with the Teamsters. I wonder if they remember when the air traffic controllers went on strike and Reagan fired every single one of them. 😡

USPS at it again. I was late getting some packages out to the grands and mailed some small flat rate priority boxes on Fri. the 20th. One was going to the Boston area and was showing delivery by the 23rd. It went from my PO to Lexington 30 miles east. Then the next day to Louisville which is 50 miles west. Today it back in Lexington again.. So much for getting there by Christmas.

3 flat rate boxes sent out on the 20th from KY. One to Minneapolis, MN, 700+ mile, one to Boston, MA, 700+miles, and one to Waddy, Ky 30 miles away. Two were delivered yesterday, and one just updated tracking to show out for delivery. Guess which one is out for delivery. 🤔 Maybe Elon can fix the USPS.

Par4QC nope, I just figured that the way usps does shit, that the package getting delivered 1st is the furthest away from the sender.

Rickochet This has been the norm for USPS since it's inception.

I once mailed out 2 identical Priority packages at the same time.
1 going to San Fran, 1 going to Australia.
I got feedback in 3 days from the AU buyer.
The next day, the box to SF was delivered.

Par4QC like I said. Usps seems to like to deliver the one going farthest away 1st...

Walterjn I've been lucky as hell with shipping. Never had any real problems through the years, and only 1 package was ever lost completely, and that was going to Ireland.
I mainly use UPS now as it's quicker for the most part of U.S., but never ship out of the country any longer....$$$.

Me too, but the trend might be over. I sent a shaft from KY to OR on the 9th. One update sayin it left KY on the 9th and on the 13th it was running late. It still says running late and no updates since the 13th. A Spuzzervation would suggest that USPS sucks donkey balls. 😡

Rickochet Always use this when any package is on the 4th day. I have done it several times. It's like a postal worker's laxative...gets their asses in gear!!! And works every time, usually next day delivered or at least found. You should hear something back within a few hours.

And just an FYI for the future.....NEVER ship anything USPS during December. Live.....learn.....👍

Sometimes shit happens and you don't have a choice except to ship in December. Next time I will explore some eGift options.

Update: The shaft I shipped from KY to OR on 12/9 finally updated tracking. As of 12/24 it made it to Lexington, KY 30 miles from my house. Dang, 30 miles in 15 days. Nice, eh? 🤣

I've been using PirateShip/UPS GROUND exclusively. Solved all of my outgoing USPS problems.😎. Shame I can't control incoming.😡

                  9 days later

                  sdandrea1 Agree.

Sent a small box via Pirate Ship UPS to east coast, taking forever to arrive and now in Nashville so will get some weather delay
Day later, sent club to Canada same process, it shows arriving day before the Driver head to east coast. I assume Canada has customs rolled in and still arrive before.

It made it to Knoxville today. 👍
