What did you build today?

Reshafted the Juggernaut 3 wood I had just shafted with a Paderson Kinetixx shaft. Weird that it felt really stiff with the A flex Kinetixx shaft while my old 3 wood is no problem with an R flex shaft ( I know, no standards for flexes. yada ,yada). But I also used the Kinetixx in my driver before and had no problem with it. Liked it enough to buy a second one. Oh, and I didn't tip it when I put it in the 212 gram 3 wood nor did I cut it down, Weird.
Also put some adapters on a couple shafts to try in a driver.
I got an aftermarket Tour Edge adapter for my c722 head....and put the Leveler shaft from @LogicalOne Golf in it for a test drive. I have it at 44.75", Jumbomax Zen Lite (L). I hit some.nice drives with it. Mostly wants to go straight. This will be an interesting battle between it and my current tried and true e722 with Aldila Tour Green ATX 65. Head weights, lengths, Grips, etc the same. The c is slightly more compact than the e. The e is definitely more forgiving, but the c is no slouch. Once I give the c a weeks worth of rounds I will swap shafts and repeat!
Eguller With irons I tend to deloft and get a bit steep at times. Partly why I prefer more traditional lofts. I used to early release/flip and hit everything really high, but then worked on keeping my flight down.
I think I just find the TS1-IM a bit sexier in the bag like the P770. When I look at Maltby MPF specs of various irons I've loved in the past, the TS3 are more in line with those. Either model should be more forgiving than P770.....in the old days I would build a set of each lol.
In case any of you are interested…..
Built a couple of darpar designed squatty potty's....
These things really 'doo-doo' work!
That’s pretty cool, thanks for sharing!
I have a few rounds in with the shafts now and they are nice. I’m thinking I should have tipped them some more though, I have a case of the spins in the Single length irons I built with them. I’m yanking 6irons back, it’s cool and all, but not super helpful for distance . I have been able to flight the shots pretty well and had a lot of “wow” shots with the wedges, those old school Tiger shots, low and hot, 1 hit and zip to a stop. The thing is, I’m not talented enough to actually hit those consistently, so I know I’m getting more spin than I’m accustomed to. My gapping is the real issue, much too tight, full go gets shots spinning too much and dying on me. I think I’ll pull them and take another half inch off.
LogicalOne NeuroX 5 wood replacing my ol Geek DCT, going back onto the same Grafalloy Epic T75X that has served me well for years. Now I just need to bribe Kelly out of that 4 hybrid head he teased a while back.
Bad news was the heat compromised the epoxy on my Ninja LD shaft that I had the Ping G425 LST in. I was at the range and after a shot the head spun around.
Good news is I plan on selling the head, don’t need it and now I don’t have to pull the adapter. I’ll clean up the shaft and put a TM on there.
Good warning though, we’ve had a bunch of 90-100 degree days. Clubs were actually in my garage but it’s wicked hot in there… my smoke alarms go off. Taking the clubs inside
Rickochet No, but I know what you’re saying. A few years back I had Bramptons give out and threw it out. I remember you talking about it at the time.
I use the Golfworks stuff. I’ve been hitting that shaft off and on since the spring without a problem. I would have to blame the heat for the failure.
The postman brought me some work to do.
backinit I have starting using Bob Smith Industries - BSI-203H. It has a working time of 5 - 10 minutes. Available on eBay and Amazon. Good stuff.
BSI has good quality stuff but I don't know that I would use that for golf clubs. It looks just like JB Weld. It is almost impossible to pull a shaft from a head that used JB Weld without scorching it. The videos on Amazon show people trying to drill and grind it. Golf shafting epoxy maintains a bit of flexibility for shock absorption. Leave left over glue on a paper plate and after it is dry you can bend the leftover glue. A local dealer used to sell shafting epoxy with his store label on it. He told me he got it from Golfsmith in 5 gallon cans and bottled it with his label. He needed to reorder and GS was out so they had it drop shipped from the mfgr. which was the Hardman Corp.. You can find Hardman Epoweld on ebaybay.

Those heads point in different directions. Ambidexterous? Love those i-Drive shafts.
