Before I grew out the beard I was big into wet shaving. Collected, restored, and used straight razors for about 12 years. Kept a couple DE razors for when I was in a hurry. My favorite DE setup was a Merkur Heavy Duty Barber Pole in blue with a Gillette Silver Blue blade. Go to soap was Mitchel’s Wool Fat which can be a pain to learn how to build a good lather with but worth it when you figure it out.

I couldn’t pass up what @LogicalOne was selling these heads for. I haven’t carried a 3 wood in over 10 years thanks to my clubhead speed making most longer woods irrelevant but I decided to throw one back in the bag for some tighter driving holes. Definitely a more compact and much deeper faced wood than my Neuro X 5 wood, built on a House Of Forged Platinum 70 X at 43.5” with a Star Grips Tour Star + oversized grip in white.

LogicalOne NeuroX 5 wood replacing my ol Geek DCT, going back onto the same Grafalloy Epic T75X that has served me well for years. Now I just need to bribe Kelly out of that 4 hybrid head he teased a while back.
Been hitting HOF shafts off and on for a long time now, since the OG Whup N Shaft days. Last year I was fortunate enough to get my hand on one of the EXP shafts and I’ve got to say I’m pretty dang impressed with it Kelly. I cruise in the 130mph range with my course driver setup and the EXP 230LD shaft has been shockingly stable and consistent at that speed. Whether I’m trying to just smooth one down the middle or trying to break the ball….it just works.

Helped test out the Frenzy and N-Rage LD shafts, good times. Hell I still wish I could get my hands on one of Bryant’s AG-400 heads in a 7-8°, loved that driver. Built an N-Rage/AG-400 combo for George Slupski around that same time.
Damn, Steve got me started on components and club building in general back in the Bang days. First club heads I ever got from him were several Dark Matters and a white Prototype. Kept up with him through the years, loved all of the Geek designs. Still keep a Fail Safe 3 and DCT 5 wood in the bag. Steve was always willing to take time out of day to chat and deal with all my random questions, definitely a great man. Sad news indeed.
KCee Very good looking head in person, their website pictures don’t do it much justice. A little on the chunky side compared to the rest of my irons but not bad overall. The blasted finish is beautiful to me, I am basically treating this as a utility iron so I don’t mind the thicker top line and the amount of offset it has. The sole isn’t overly wide so that’s a plus.
A gap filler for me, between my 5 iron and hybrid.
Speaking of Horsepower Golf…..the original prototype was a solid performer, a crack resigned it to a “practice” club. The production design was definitely much more classic looking both at address and in overall appearance. Good performer as well but the massive face of the original was much more confidence promoting.
Nasty storm from a few years back.
