mikeintopeka It's probably good, but I use both peanut butter and jelly independently too much to want them combined in one jar. Most of the time I do use jelly as part of a PB&J, but occasionally I'll put some on a biscuit. I often eat just plain peanut butter sandwiches as well as on other things that people have already mentioned above: bagels, celery, crackers, on sandwiches with banana or honey, etc.

But then, my granny liked PB & onion!

Before chemo, I would just get my jar of extra crunchy PB & my jar of any jelly , a glass of milk and eat & eat & drink alternately. I was at least 30 lb over weight for some reason?

While camping and making "hobo pies", we made some PB&J ones. They were actually very good, but now apparently I'm minutes from death.

pellmell - I just had my comprehensive annual exam and all of my tests were fine. My doctor has a comprehensive questionnaire we go through to target potential 'lifestyle' behaviour that could lead to problems in the future. "Do you consume Juff, Skippy, or Peter Pan" peanut butter was not one of the questions LOL

I like PB, creamy only, on white bread. I've never had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I can't conceive of a reason for me to consider it. I hope I'm never so hungry that I'd eat one if offered.

You should try it. Really. As long as you like jelly or jam or preserves.

But, I will also sometimes make a toasted PB&J. Toasting the bread first gets the PB all soft and gooey and brings another element to the sandwich. But I only do that if I am home and can wash up well afterwards as it is very messy!
