swinnea - close, real close to my style and favorites too. I will also eat PB on toasted bagels, toasted bread, and toasted English muffins when I'm not in a rush and and can wait a minute for the countertop toaster oven to do its thing.
No one has mentioned strawberry - rhubarb preserves...my, oh my. Trader Joe's has a good one.
I grew up in city that had a humongous bakery that served our corner of the state for several bread brands. The smell of fresh bread that enveloped the area when we woke up in the morning was intoxicating. We took tours of the plant in grade school and cub scouts but did they give us bread samples? Noooooo, they gave us fresh, hot off the conveyor belt, glazed donuts that were sweet and gooey so they could get us addicted for life. They were as bad as drug dealers LOL
