The ball in my new shoulder is titanium, as is the appliance in my left knee. Not sure if it is cast or forged.

I have a couple of the titanium rod and screws in my body. They won't bother me until the weather changed.
Especially before the thunder storm.... man they will be sore and itchy.

Good luck LB!!! Wishing you the best!

Knowing him, might be an OX bone graft if needed, but it'll be a simple straight forward surgery.

BTW, I'm guessing the titanium parts will be precision CNC milled, not forged nor cast.

I wish the hell I was your PT my friend. I see you are having the anterior approach. The least invasive procedure with less precautions. If you are a fast track patient you may be getting up the same day as your surgery. My patients all do so well with it, and I certainly hope you do.

Good luck! And, let's hope your Doc doesn't "practice" medicine on you - hope he's got great execution! (Always hated that term "practice", when there's nothing on the line.)

I'm curious how long it took you to get to this point. My docs have been doing "let's try this, let's try that" for 3-4 months - shots, PT, more shots, on and on. At what point do they say, "let's schedule the surgery."?

        Good luck, keep us informed.

Whew! Thank GOOODD! The video was taking a long time to come in on my computer, so it was just an empty space on the screen. All I could see was your comment and and one below it about being able walk around the next day. I didn't know what the picture was going to be. I was so relieved to see that it was a hip replacement video and not a circumcision video! Good luck with it!
