Video from MyGolfSpy on longest balls for fast, mid, and slow swing speeds. A few things I found interesting…

The balls listed for mid swing speed are completely different than those listed in the other categories.

2 of the balls I typically play are in the top 5 for high swing speeds, but I’m definitely not in this category.

Also the Bstone B RX was top 5 in high swing speed (although marketed for slower swing), while the B X (for high swing speed) was listed T5 in the slow swings.
🤔

DonM I think he said something about there being like a 30yd difference between the best and the ‘worst’

So a difference of about 4 yds in my mid speed category. From an iron byron. Ha ha! My drives with any ball can be anywhere from 210 to 250. I think I will play the ball I like to putt and chip.

I'm probably in the mid speed category. I like a ball with good wedge spin as the course I play has hard fast greens. I bet most premium balls will be with in 4-5 yards of each other. Would like to see the full list, not just the top 5.

I like how he made the statement at the end, about spin. jmo, but far too many have their heads up their ass about spin. Esp. 'caps of higher double digits....even a lot of single digits. I relate spin to distance loss.
And, if you can spin a ball, then you can use a 2 pc. as well as a 3 pc., and it doesn't have to have urethane. The covers don't last as long, but they aren't $5/per either.

I was not the least bit surprised to see the Prov1x tops for the low speeds. They do fly.

Typhoon I found 1 of them last summer and was able to play it for quite a few holes. Nice ball, but only as good as some much cheaper balls, as far as distance goes.

Eguller I can’t understand why nobody likes them… low compression, good spin, soft feel. Sometimes I think if someone uses one and it plays like crap they blame it
        On the ball.

          Typhoon low compression

iirc, around 72-75, which is probably best for nearly 75%+ of all players. But also iirc, they are around $40/dozen. Not GB balls at all.
Unless they come from PA. 😉

candukid So a difference of about 4 yds in my mid speed category.

            Between the winners.

I will concur re the Maxfli Tour. It is legit and I am in the mid category for speed. It is long and performs well everywhere else.

And only two balls crossing over🤔.....🤮....BS

Well, I think the results show why the Pro V and the X have done so well on tour, truly outstanding balls. The X is my favorite ball of all time, it’s long and I can zip it around the greens. The only thing I don’t love is the ability to bend it too much off the tee. I think the Top Flite Freak back a few years back was purely longer, but no where near as good all around.

DC300 The left dash did, and was 1 of 2 crossing over, along with the Tour Speed. The standard Pro V1 and Pro V1X DID NOT make the list!

I'm in the mid-speed category also. I caught a Black Friday deal at Dick's and got the Maxfli Tours and Tour X's. Both balls are great for me. I've been playing the Maxfli Tour X's more due to a bit more spin around the greens. The Tour is what I started with and is just as good with a little less greenside spin.
