Eguller Dan, you may think me a liar, but I never find any in the woods. And you know why.😉
I've really not found that 1 ball that would make me Yipee! I really like the ProV1x, and was surprised they found the same thing in testing. But, I'll not pay that much for them, although I did get a good deal on a few dozen last year, and still have some. I play them sparingly. I really don't care for the ProV1; it is shorter by 10 yds or more. And I did f-up when I ordered some special numbered balls a month ago, got the Prov1 instead of the x. But, they were for passing around to family members anyway.
I do still have a few dozen of the Gamer 3 pc., and used some a couple days ago. Still, really cannot be beaten off the tee, for me, and they do perform well tee-green. I have TM TP5's and they are much like the V1x, not the V1. Again, those 2 words...for me. I have a few dozen TruFeel. Excellent ball also, from everywhere. Also have Bigg Golf Crusher, TM V3, which not too many have heard of. Also, Kelly's ball, the LogicalOne L1T; that ball goes right through trees, miracle ball! 😄Then there are the Pinnacle Exceptions. I found a local course that has them as their logo ball. On the hottest days, these are the choice. They just seem to get more lift in hot, humid weather, esp. if there is a lot of wind( direction does not matter). And on those days, are the longest.
For my weekend tourney, I'm taking ProV1x, Gamer, and Exception. I'll make the choice depending on weather and course conditions; there won't be any bounce/roll with the rains they've had the past 2 days. Not going to be hot enough to dry it out. Hoping to get a practice round in to see what carries farthest.
