Thomas ALMOST had this locked up. Zally made it when he had to.
Well... relying on you guys for the play by play. no more coverage on hulu.
Bye, Bye Mito. Too bad.
Well what happened?
Should have found the answers myself rather than get some golf discussion going. Congrats to JT on the second PGA
Epic choke by Pereira, tee shot, approach, and chip....if he pulls off any of them he's in playoff at worst. And Young and Fitzpatrick both pissed away chances down the stretch. JT the beneficiary of all that and takes out Zalatoris in the playoff. Nice approach on the first playoff hole after Zalatoris is on for an eagle look and then a great 3 wood for his own eagle look.
I recorded and watched the end last night. Epic 7 stroke behind comeback for JT!
I watched a LOT of this tournament and what I want to know is why 99% of the tee shots on #18 were up the right side where the creek is? I could tell part of the fairway funneled shots that way, but it looked like there was room on the left side of the fairway.
I swear I saw maybe 6 shots in 4 days hit the left or left center of that fairway. Was there OB left? Was the wind always blowing hard Left to Right? Isn't aiming away from trouble Golf 101?
USGA could learn something from the bunkers at SH as to them being more of a hazard.
Overall course looks like a legit test for these guys, plenty long, but not crazy when you factor in the length of the par 3,s, rough = penal but fair, brought the flyer into play plenty, bunker and green complexes look super.
