garyt1957 I would make the argument that they are all exhibitions, even the US Open and the Super Bowl, and Wimbledon, and the Stanley Cup, or whatever other championship anybody reveres.
They have no intrinsic meaning. They are only important because you attach importance to them. But they don't actually have any intrinsic meaning.
If we all decided, for example, that the Valero Texas Open was more important than the US Open, it would be more important automatically, not because its relative value changed, but because we made the decision that it was more important.
They are all exhibitions. Some people attach a lot of value to them, but they don't have any value beyond what we decide to attach to the them.
