Eguller Oversimplification of what happened. Always enjoy reading about those folks who think their western-like freedoms extend no matter where they are. This lady has challenged the Saudi way of life and apparently knew the "Kingdom" was unhappy with her activities and yet still traveled back to Saudi and is shocked she was arrested for breaking their laws.

I dislike all hypocrisy and US policies with Saudi is hard to defend (I have flown defending SA in support of US policies), but can't defend the PGA Tour either. I try to be consistent in my support via my dollars. If I knew where Saudi oil went, I would avoid it, as I did with CITGO way back when.

      She has not "disappeared" yet so there is some hope for her. Interesting that the travel ban is same length as prison sentence....certainly seems like there is some indication they feel she may get out earlier then what's been "ordered".

        Returning to the Kingdom - when you know they are displeased with you is a head-scratcher … unless your intent all along was to set yourself up as some type of martyr. She openly supported dissidents (most notably her own sister), and her still active twitter account has the pinned message “Freedom for prisoners of conscience and all the oppressed of the world”. Kind of makes me think she is getting what she sought - most notably the global attention.

          So two LIV tours. Non-profit gone. With 18 non-cut events the elite players and the the other players will barely tee it up together. What a shame. Basically ripping away the opportunity for a player outside the top 60 to compete against and beat the best of the best. If this does happen it would be a shame. Just my opinion.

                      That concept of the elite 18, dumping non-profit seems counter to the PGA Tour being the ultimate. I must be missing something, limited fields, no cuts, high ranking points, sounds like the expanding of the WGC events, Heck not it down to 54 holes and call it LIV Golf.

                      I think the PGA Tour is worried that they are about to take some major hits in the court cases.

                        If the PGA gives up their non-profit status and goes the private equity route, trying to stave off the LIV Tour poachings, are they not then susceptible to a 'take over'....by people with billions of $$, much like the private equity firms are known to do? 🤔

                          According to a report by The Fire Pit Collective, these elevated events would feature purses of $20 million.
