Glad to see Rickie hasn’t sold out to the Saudi’s (yet?). Always liked Rickie. Hope he finds his way out of lost and found.

So far his ‘legacy’ is intact. Lol. And for all us non professional athlete mere mortals, legacy isn’t necessarily how much money we made in our lifetime, but were we a decent person, i.e. good father, husband or friend etc.. 😉

    I think all playoff systems are revenue generators. Team sport owners love to have home games.

    That said they could still tweak the FedEx Cup playoffs to make it better. For awhile there a person could skip one of the playoff tournaments and still win the FedEx Cup.🙄

        It's even worse on the 'Senior' Tour - One year, Bernie won everything and some duffus won the last

That's the opening line of his professional golf legacy. I doubt anywhere in the obit would there be mention he used a broomstick putter. lol

                                  Snead was great no question. Too bad he never won a U.S. Open (runner up 4 times). And he and Tiger are tied with most wins with 82. Although some of Sam’s wins would be considered ticky tack wins against inferior fields. Still 82 wins is 82 wins.

                                  Story Harvey Penick tells in his book is when he was on the range and heard the sound of Snead’s ball coming off the face he decided then to be a club pro. Lol

                                      I wouldn't want to play against Hogan, Nelson, etc.... Some of Snead's records are untouchable.
                                      And, it is very hard to compare different eras.
