Sneakylong legacies last forever.
Nobody but his family will remember him for more than a year or two after he dies unless he does something to change the world between now and then. Heβs a golfer and that is his legacy. Heβll appear in lists of major champions when people look that up and that will be his enduring legacy. Nobody in the future will care to remember what he did or didnβt do for the Ryder Cup. His golf legacy is valued at $40 mil. Nobody made him a counter offer for his humanitarian legacy.
Brian Barnes once beat Jack Nicklaus twice in one day in Ryder Cup competition. Some old Ryder Cup fans and older fans of European golf might remember him. I doubt any casual golfer under 40 has any idea who he was. He has a fine legacy that will very quickly be forgotten by the world.
