I have to assume there's a contingency plan for more players? Seems it wouldn't be hard to increase the field. What if another 10 pretty big names jump ship, are those lower end guys just out of luck?

I assume so, but I was referring to this week only, as it's a bit late to expand the field now.
Big picture, I think they feel there will be more joining in. How many? No idea. Depends on whether the PGA and DP decide to cooperate/coexist or if the PGA continue to try and save it's monopoly, and their salaries, with a heavy hand.

The field has been expanded, with the addition of the players since the last tournament.
Remember, these are team events, team members chosen by Captains at each event.

I wanna see pics posted of the faces of those not chosen to play in an event. 🤨😅 Hope their mommies are not in town!

I believe the field size is still 48.
3 spots were left open in anticipation of the recent defectors, and are now filled.
Wolffe, Ortiz and the #2 Am are the last in.
Also reading/rumours, that Fleetwood, Stenson and Berger are next, with Stenson having the most to lose at this point.

Berger is having back problems, has all year; pulled out of our tourney yesterday.
Isn't Stenson supposed to be Ryder Cup, or President's Cup captain next round?

If it is LIV Golf, and there are 54 holes, why are there not 54 players(3 x 18) when it is shotgun starts?
