I'm hooked on this game now. I play the NY Times puzzle every morning. Apparently the NY Times puzzle is the daily official challenge for Wordle enthusiasts.

I'm hooked on this game now. I play the NY Times puzzle every morning. Apparently the NY Times puzzle is the daily official challenge for Wordle enthusiasts.
Wordle 367 4/6
I play it most days. My max streak is 11, best I've done is two solved at two lines. I hate when you get a word where you know what it can be but you run out of guesses, like you have blank, lame and it could be flame, blame etc and it just becomes a guess.
I'm still waiting to score on my first guess.
It does help to have telepathic powers.
Cool game though.
I'm hooked on it, play every day. That and globle. My best steak use 40 on Wordle. 4 is my most popular, never got it in 1
Girl I work with in the pro shop got βWordle in 1β a few weeks ago. Amazing luck.
I start with STORY, then ADIEU (unless STORY gave at least two hits - including the O or Y). My average is right at 3.5, including one 1. I also play Octordle where youβre solving eight at once.
Wordle 368 3/6
I started with ALIAS today. I use ADIEU and AUDIO a lot too. Sometimes I start with ROAST or BOAST.
I've had the same word pop up two days in a row.
I find it boring.
I start with sauce normally. Occasionally I'll try something different, like ounce, anything with three vowels.
I enjoy these kind of word games like I do a fever blister. Not my idea of fun but I don't like crossword puzzles either. My wife used to be hooked on the NY Time puzzle but cancelled our paper two months ago. She said the puzzle had changed and was no longer any fun. I wouldn't dare even talk to her in the morning before she had her coffee and finished the puzzle. She now is hooked on some word games on her tablet. She used to play Wordament but now plays another one. She is just eaten up with it. I don't dare interrupt her if she has her tablet in hand.
I always start with crane. If I only get one letter from that, I'll try shout or toils.
I randomly rotate start words - Steal, Stale, Piety, Pious are my go - to.
Just saw a story on Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel on the guy who does the crossword puzzle for the NY Times, which bought Wordle and he said the best word to start with is AROSE.
Never played Wordle myself. Bryant Gumbel said he starts with AUDIO. They played against each other in a game and they got to the sixth try and Bryant got the word FOYER.
