Rickochet sdandrea1 All of my irons are PING. G10 7-UW, SW and G425 7-UW this week. Fixed it for ya'. π
fatshot fatshot I keep forgetting that I bought a Snake Eyes Quick Strike 27* hybrid that takes a wood shaft (from DonM?) earlier in the season. I put this in the bag today, and hit 4 GIR with it...!!! It seems to fill the 150 gap in my bag very well right now.....and the .335 wood shaft gets the ball up in the air so it stops when it hits the green. Problem solved for the moment!
sdandrea1 fatshot I don't know why more mfgs don't make hybrids with .335 hosels. They launch so much easier. I built the 9 wood pictured above without tipping the shaft at all. Hoping for same effect.
Par4QC fatshot You must have the Quick Strike II head. I have the original Quick Strike heads, 14, 18, 22, 26.

sdandrea1 I played the XDS 9 wood today on the Acer 45g shaft. It just might be in contention for Holy Grail status. I've never had a full round of golf with 100% solid strikes on a FW......until today. I used it 4 times in a scramble today and it was $. I'm going to I order the 5w.
sdandrea1 DonM Oddly, this was a no-tipping experiment. I just remembered. 9w build, no shaft tipping, SW D0 @ 40". It's a killer FW!
DonM sdandrea1 Well donβt tip the five wood! Tonight I hit two greens, each to about fifteen feet from 170 yards, with the Acer 7 wood and FGS plus, also untipped. It IS a Holy Grail for me.
KCee sdandrea1 Oddly, this was a no-tipping experiment. Some of the best fairways I built had no tip trim or very little tipping. I used to build fairways with untipped steel shafts. Also built a few hybrids with untipped or very soft-stepped steel shafts. Great height and you didn't feel like you had to swing hard.
