DonM Well don’t tip the five wood!

Tonight I hit two greens, each to about fifteen feet from 170 yards, with the Acer 7 wood and FGS plus, also untipped. It IS a Holy Grail for me.

No way I'm tipping the 5w. I may add a little weight to the bottom and cut it a bit shorter too.

sdandrea1 Oddly, this was a no-tipping experiment.

Some of the best fairways I built had no tip trim or very little tipping. I used to build fairways with untipped steel shafts. Also built a few hybrids with untipped or very soft-stepped steel shafts. Great height and you didn't feel like you had to swing hard.
