Currently watching highlights from 1999 at Carnoustie, what a tough gig that was. Cut came at +13 for a cut line - I'd forgotten that, usually highlights from that year only cover Van De Velde's late meltdown and the play off.
Either way, DeChambeau's caddie will be in the golf shop buying more balls at the turn Thursday and Friday. 
I don't see a way for Bryson to win this one, because I don't think he handles adversity very well. You have to accept there that you're going to hit good shots that turn out badly.

Par4QC Hope so. I didn't bother to look at the forecast when I made my pick and if the weather stays fair his links experience isn't going to be much help. Plus someone else picked him at a lower score.

And that's why I'm not crazy about the British Open, too much luck involved. The morning guys had easy conditions and the afternoon guys get wind and rain. And it might not even out tomorrow when they switch times. That and all the goofy bounces you can get on some of the courses leave way too much to chance.

Prediction: DeChambeau will be visiting major OEM club manufacturers and their R&D divisions in the next few weeks. His marriage to Cobra is on the rocks and the feeling is mutual.

mikeintopeka That's pretty crazy, but I guess Cobra hasn't been willing or able to engineer what he thinks he needs. Can't imagine he's helping himself with anyone by airing it out publicly though.
Okay, but whoever wrote that return blast from Cobra had better have a friend in the CEO's office.
