Pouring rain here
The weather where you are?
It's 34ยบ and spritzing the rain here just north of Allentown. Gonna be a damp final shopping day, but at least the roads are passable and safe to drive.
Saw that the temps down in Athens are gonna be 70ยบ tomorrow! Not quite that mild 12 hours north of there...

Going to be low 80's and sunny today (69 right now / 10:00 AM). Christmas is going to be 84 and more humid. The air conditioning will be on tomorrow when we're cooking our Christmas dinner (standing rib roast). May need to put it on later today as my wife will be doing some baking. Humidity is low today though. Very comfortable just north of Tampa.
Very unusual for our State to have a Statewide temperature high that's below freezing. Not uncommon for the East of the Mountain to have freezing temperatures but the Puget Sound area had not had this kind of low temperature for years.
The Puget Sound area should be in the 50's for seasonal high temperature, think it wouldn't go over 30ยฐF today.
Lucky the County and the City had sanded and cleared the snow from the street a few days ago, otherwise it'd be a skating rink.
64*, light rain Surfside Beach.
Whispering Pine @ 11am on Thur.

Strong SW winds and torrential rainstorms for past 4 days
Had tornado warnings all around
Had to make emergency trip down into our underground storm shelter as squall line came through at 60 mp, not quite fast enough but fortunately no tornado set down on us yesterday and no fatalities in areas around either Enjoyed all excitement I need for a while!
70s and sunny today but ground is saturated to squishy on every step
Sunshine is very welcome!
Very odd to have potential tornado this time of the year, which neighborhood are you near by ?

Thanks.
I'm a New Englander and will always be.
That said, retiring at 62, moving here to SC, one mile from the ocean. :-)
Recently spoke with a sister in Maine...18" of snow, hah!
While everyone here freaks out at 50* sitting home, trying to get warm, I get the golf course to myself.

ps- heard the news today, tornado watches in Western SC.
40ยบ and rain here today in the Lehigh Valley. Remnants of the recent snow are still present, although melting slowly.
The forecast is up and down the remainder of the week, but cold weather returns near the weekend. It could be worse.
5*F (-18C) right now with -17F (-27C) wind chill. We just entered at least 100 hrs. (predicted) of below zero wind chill. It's not as cold as a week or two ago but I'm not going out to remove Christmas lights from the house until it gets above zero wind chill. We got about 1 1/2" of snow overnight Saturday night and a bit of freezing drizzle yesterday.
The freezing drizzle didn't amount to enough to cause problems on our roads but did make my deck slick last night.
50's and rain here today. Some snow on the way "they" say.
78.6 degrees and humid. Just turned on the AC to cool down the house which is 80 degrees right now.
Release
We live near Hattiesburg MS for two years now; moved back near wife's home area, moving here from Sanford , NC, ~20 miles North of Pinehurst & about 3 miles from Tobacco road GC
Lived in NC 10 yrs
Tornadoes more common here than you might think , particularly if big temperature from North to South change line is present like earlier this week . As cold front comes through lots of thunderstorms up drafts cold air vs Gulf of Mexico warm moist air . Some of our tornadoes may be generated from Hurricanes too.
Not so bad as KS or Oklahoma but any tornado is heart attack serious if you're in the way
My first big project after moving here was to build my girls a storm shelter. Barely had it functional when we had to use it .
Hopefully it's just another insurance policy we never actually collect on.

Nice breeze and a little muggy today. 81 degrees was the high. It was about 70 when we teed off this morning.
40 something degrees and pouring rain here in NE Indiana tonight with temperatures overnight into the 20's. Love it when it rains and then freezes ... NOT!
Hah! Was in Hattiesburg in the late 90's with US Army training... seems they wanted me to figure out how to operate an M1A1 Abrams Tank, in 2-weeks time no less. LOL...
Had a blast. Remember standing next to an Abrams the first day, with no idea that it was during an active live-fire exercise. I pretty much shiite myself on the spot when the thing fired. OMG... thought the end times were coming!
Learned that the Abrams tank was far superior than any other tank in the world, and also learned that it gets quite humid in Hattiesburg, MS during the summer.
Enjoy the winter weather, aside from dodging the occasion tornado. I'd love to trade places with you at the moment!
Going to be ~ 63 degrees when we tee off in the first group tomorrow morning ~ 7:22 am (sunrise is 7:21). Reaching a high of ~ 75 degrees for a high.
