Sneak peek 2017 TM M2 Driver
sdandrea1 Nope Steve, that is why I didn't want to say anything. That was several years ago when I had a 116-120 SS.
My point of everything was these clubs were truly an innovation but originally they were pricey. A set of irons was over $2500 and the drivers and woods were $3 and 4 hundred dollars in the late 90's.
I still have my 13 3W that originally belonged to Paul Azinger and is still the longest 3W I have ever hit. There are more forgiving and easier to hit models, but that is longer. I have a Nike T-60 13 3W in my bag that isn't as long, but is super easy to hit with it's 60 gram Tungsten plug inside to promote a high launch.
That is why I contend I haven't hit a wood made since 2006 that is truly longer.
Either way I was just trying to point out something cheap you might try.
sdandrea1 Those are the second generation and have no LM105 material in the head. Only a hosel insert that dampens vibration. It was an attempt by employees of the Golf division trying to start their own company after the parent company decide to discontinue the golf side. They moved into aerospace, commercial and military applications which are much more lucrative.
Hit my local Play It Again Sports today and found a MINT Taylormade 320Ti driver - all stock shaft and grip. Looks hardly used. I love the smaller, low profile head, and for the tidy sum of $14.99, it is mine!
I have a couple of tour issued TM 360 driver heads in my closet. These were called T-dot heads and at that point in TM history, there was a significant difference between these and the retail heads. They were referred to as "pull face", before the inverted cone of the R500 series. Very solid head at impact.
It is fun to try some of those earlier heads. Not as forgiving, but hit on the screws, euphoric.
