@Bravopilot sent me some goodies to review. Kirkland (Ksig) wedge set and putter. They're in the bag for Friday's scramble outing. Review will follow demo.

First impressions.

  1. Stuff looks amazing in-hand.
  2. Material quality and assembly looks great (looks). Headcover is heavy duty with string Velcro.
  3. Grips feel like GP Tour Velvets.
  4. Putter came with a nice weight kit and tool.... don't know if Paul paid extra for those. I put the heaviest weights in for my outing.
  5. Look at address makes me think "Playa".

If the irons look this good, I could see guys diving in just for the novelty factor. Especially if they're mid-low cappers.

😉

The Ping drivers may be great but I don't think that I could get past the turbulator (or what ever they are calling them this year) look. I just don't like them.

      sdandrea1 PING G430 woods demos

Appears to be the standard G430 and not the SFT or Max....is that right ?

May as well 'cut and paste' the review to my email. Thanks.

sdandrea1 I can't post here because I have to put up with the Holy Grail bullshit lol jokes lol.

Come on man! Most of us enjoy your reviews and I don't want to have to send you an email to read all of them.

Eguller Appears to be the standard G430 and not the SFT or Max....is that right ?

It's the standard. I was kidding about the emailing reviews. I put Sneakylong on ignore.....lol.

The sound and feel is a ALOT better than the G410 and G425, It's back to the muted "thwack" of the G400. The head has a really NICE "T" shaped framing on the crown (think old TM Burner). It helps deal with the Turbinators (ugh). I cannot really judge the flight because I chose the Alta Quick shaft (Fujikura) which feels very light (and whippy) and gave me a few balloons that spun into the stratosphere and came down way too soon. I had the sliding weight in the DRAW position. I did hit a few very solid straight drives that felt GREAT. Only a brief trail but I will say this. I have a slightly heavier shaft in my K15 (10.5) and the flight is lower and less spinny. Rolls out better and yes, farther. It's no longer than my K15. YMMV. This is probably a very good driver for many, but there haven't been any bad PING drivers in some time.

mulegolf Yeah, plus every time he replies, he's got compromising pics of the neighbor gal attached. Who wants to see that shit when talking golf equipment?

sdandrea1 Our shop got the PING G430 woods demos in, so I took the driver out today for 18 holes in my Wednesday league match. Got the 12 with the Alta Quick (new?) shaft. I'd give you my review but Sneakylong (lol) will be all up in my shit. So , here's some in hand pics. Email me if you want my review. "Lol". 😉

Ha,ha. I'd only give you a hard time if you bought the Ping G430 driver and gave it a glowing review (i.e. holy grail status) and then saw it in the buy and sell section for sale the next day. 😁

Par4QC eah, plus every time he replies, he's got compromising pics of the neighbor gal attached.

You didn't save those pics did you? I might need a copy.................

                  Sneakylong Ping G30 driver

Well, it was probably the best Ping has put out. Like Cobra and their F8.
Every company had a stopping point, yet all went past it. With no great gains.

                    sdandrea1

I'll pay full price for the driver as shown on the sticker on the 4th photo 😇

Please post your reviews here, or add me to the email list for them. Some of us do get it, and live vicariously from your reviews.

Well this was a demo and review, so I'm safe. 😁 I turned it back in today. I'd like to try the 10.5 in the R flex. This Alta Quick shaft is a fly rod. I might take the 10.5 out with the R flex and do a head-to-head with my G400 SFT.

Par4QC ot 86 hits on them on my YouTube space.

                        In 3 f'n years.

I don't live next door to Paige Spirinac.................

just kidding. My comments are above.

sdandrea1 I like the wedges look.....no specific grinds to have to understand the 'why' of. Straightforward.....if-you-want-more-loft-use-another-wedge grind.👍 Like the old Wilsons had.

'Smaht' demoing it on the course opposed to just the range. I can't see me moving off the G425 SFT. I did put a Graphite Design MAD shaft in it and I love it. Yeah, the Alta stock shafts are somewhat whippy.

Again, I always liked Cobra and Ping because both their draw bias drivers always worked well for my swing.
