Eguller Appears to be the standard G430 and not the SFT or Max....is that right ?
It's the standard. I was kidding about the emailing reviews. I put Sneakylong on ignore.....lol.
The sound and feel is a ALOT better than the G410 and G425, It's back to the muted "thwack" of the G400. The head has a really NICE "T" shaped framing on the crown (think old TM Burner). It helps deal with the Turbinators (ugh). I cannot really judge the flight because I chose the Alta Quick shaft (Fujikura) which feels very light (and whippy) and gave me a few balloons that spun into the stratosphere and came down way too soon. I had the sliding weight in the DRAW position. I did hit a few very solid straight drives that felt GREAT. Only a brief trail but I will say this. I have a slightly heavier shaft in my K15 (10.5) and the flight is lower and less spinny. Rolls out better and yes, farther. It's no longer than my K15. YMMV. This is probably a very good driver for many, but there haven't been any bad PING drivers in some time.

sdandrea1 Our shop got the PING G430 woods demos in, so I took the driver out today for 18 holes in my Wednesday league match. Got the 12 with the Alta Quick (new?) shaft. I'd give you my review but Sneakylong (lol) will be all up in my shit. So , here's some in hand pics. Email me if you want my review. "Lol".
Ha,ha. I'd only give you a hard time if you bought the Ping G430 driver and gave it a glowing review (i.e. holy grail status) and then saw it in the buy and sell section for sale the next day.
Sneakylong Ping G30 driver
Well, it was probably the best Ping has put out. Like Cobra and their F8.
Every company had a stopping point, yet all went past it. With no great gains.
Ooops, meant G430. Had the G30 SFT and it was nice.

Well this was a demo and review, so I'm safe. I turned it back in today. I'd like to try the 10.5 in the R flex. This Alta Quick shaft is a fly rod. I might take the 10.5 out with the R flex and do a head-to-head with my G400 SFT.

'Smaht' demoing it on the course opposed to just the range. I can't see me moving off the G425 SFT. I did put a Graphite Design MAD shaft in it and I love it. Yeah, the Alta stock shafts are somewhat whippy.
Again, I always liked Cobra and Ping because both their draw bias drivers always worked well for my swing.

mulegolf The Ping drivers may be great but I don't think that I could get past the turbulator (or what ever they are calling them this year) look. I just don't like them.
Ive never liked the Turbuators either, but the G430 does look a bit cleaner with the carbon fiber "checkers" and the T-shaped framing on the crown. I too, wish they would UnTurbulate. The performance can overcome the look though. YMMV. I'll take some better pics next time I'm at the shop.
Sneakylong their draw bias drivers always worked well for my swing.
I've found (with PING) that the sliding weight is NOT as effectve as the SFT head shape draw-bias method. Don't know why though.

Found the same. Even Ping says you get more left bias with the SFT models. I believe there's more weight in the heel on the SFT models. May have something do with it as well.

Only way to demo effectively. We're spoiled here. Some people keep the damn clubs for weeks.
My playing partner today was an 86 year old guy with a PING bag full. G410 driver, G425 irons (8-W), G400 woods, K15 hybrid. Guy is about 5'9" with a short swing. Hits a baby draw 20 yards past me on EVERY hole (200 + yards). I beat him today (77 vs 85) only because he can't chip and putt, but holy shit - he's 86 (avid tennis player in great shape) - my freaking hero!
