Ok! I debuted the 44 degree Cleveland CBX Zip Core wedge today. It looks like it's my 100-yard club now. Flies high and stops pretty good. Easy to hit straight.

I also took out the old Adams XTD driver I bought from @ptjn1201, shafted with my Evenflo shaft at 44.5". It's loud but proud. Fairway finder and decent distance. Last 2 shots with it today were as good as any Ive ever hit.

Typhoon Do you ever miss a fairway… or the first cut?

Not much. Typically hit 11+ fairways in an 18-hole round. Not far, but straight. Some drivers are straighter than others tho. 😉

Typhoon It's hard to miss fairways when your driver only flies approximately the width of a standard fairway. You'd have to hit it straight sideways!

There aren't many advantages of being a short knocker, but that's sure one of them.

Can’t wait for the Big Bang review! That was always a head I wanted waaay back when.

I had it for sale dirt cheap several times and nobody wanted it. I finally caught Steve in a weak moment and he bit. 🤣

Soooooo, I demo'd some new-to-me stuff today. Summary below:

          1. Bang driver is HOT faced. Hard for me to hit straight. Medium trajectory (even tho it's 12 degree), and roll out was REALLY good. Low spin maybe? Sounds good feels good. Fade monster for me, though.

          2. The Innovex head was meh. Loud, easier to hit straight but not as hot as the Bang. Less distance and roll out.

          3. Both heads had the new FGS ULtralite 45 in A flex in them. This shaft is a SLEEPER! Get one.....hell, get 3 and put your favorite heads on them! I can't tell you how surprised I am at the weight, feel, and flight. It's $30 ferkrissakes!!!! PapaD's new favorite shaft!!

          4. Played the IsI Nickel today with the stock ZZ65 steel shafts. My new favorite irons! I was thinking of reshafting to graphite or lighter weight steel, but my MDLT swing changes have me on a better path and damn if stock steel doesn't feel good again. We'll see about long term wear on the body by the end of the week after 3 full rounds with steel.

If with MLDT centered swing ball position mid and push /fade make sure your ball position is really centered. Try dialing the face closed a smidge see what happens change nothing with the swing ala Trish club face video of dialing face to hit draw or fade.

This was the overwhelming consensus at FGI.

Couple things... were you worn out from the Ping irons? Sounds like it. Don't give up on it. Try it again. If its still fading try a shaft change. Its a 12 degree hot faced driver... give it a chance. That shaft might be too flexible

Typhoon Couple things... were you worn out from the Ping irons?

I'm shocked that I'm not tired at all! The PING irons don't feel heavy on this swing path I've got going. I'm going to carry the Bang tomorrow along with another driver that I trust on tight holes. I only carry 9 or 10 clubs anyway.

sdandrea1 is it the Big Bang 525? That’s what I was thinking when I wrote an A flex shaft might not be stable enough for a head that size.

Eguller Shoot him a question about head weight.

                  Swing weight is probably B1
