sdandrea1 I'm not a brand snob.

Plus it's just that much better to beat someone with a club or clubs they've never heard of. If I was @Typhoon I'd be out taking money with a short set of those hideous Cleveland VAS irons or just a shovel!

Typhoon Its fun to go out with just a 7 iron and have “honors” on every hole😁

    Yeah, well, I wouldn't know.........😥

With the right shaft AND center-struck shots, this head is surprising.

Remember too that " lightweight" is not always what you think it's going to be. I usually hit heavier irons better and with more speed because of muscle activation. The irons I was looking at had 125 gram S+ flex shafts that had me a bit concerned. Tonite at work I grabbed a demo with that weight shaft and my clubhead speed was 4 -5 mph faster than the sub 100 gram Nippon. And more accurate

Hey PapaD ...... where are the club reviews ? 🤔

Ok! I debuted the 44 degree Cleveland CBX Zip Core wedge today. It looks like it's my 100-yard club now. Flies high and stops pretty good. Easy to hit straight.

I also took out the old Adams XTD driver I bought from @ptjn1201, shafted with my Evenflo shaft at 44.5". It's loud but proud. Fairway finder and decent distance. Last 2 shots with it today were as good as any Ive ever hit.

Typhoon Do you ever miss a fairway… or the first cut?

Not much. Typically hit 11+ fairways in an 18-hole round. Not far, but straight. Some drivers are straighter than others tho. 😉

Typhoon It's hard to miss fairways when your driver only flies approximately the width of a standard fairway. You'd have to hit it straight sideways!

There aren't many advantages of being a short knocker, but that's sure one of them.
