Eguller In my old LD days, I did full insertion. But now, I only do 1.5”. Works for me.

In my younger days I did full insertion but now I do less. Just a geezer thing I guess. 😞

I have a feeling this Tensei is the difference maker. The head is excellent in feel and distance (and ez to hit straight), but this shaft........ wow!

wishbone hahahahaha. Maybe this thread is about turtle sex. In......... Out............. In............. Out...........

sdandrea1 I have a feeling this _________ is the difference maker.

Hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!! That should be the opening line in ALL your club reviews😁.

colej I always fully inserted the shaft on the 455. If I were to do it all over again… 1.5” just so I could use the shaft in other heads. Too much tip prep when you fully insert

10 holes today with a demo Callaway Rogue ST Max (not the "D"). Set it on 11.5, Draw. Stock shaft, 5.0 Forty. Basically I could repeat my Maverick Max review except for the sound/feel. The Rogue ST Max has a thinner, tinny-er sound and feel. Flight, distance, ease of hitting straight is all typical modern Callaway. PapaD approved. I'll have to give it back next Tuesday......we return to VA on Wednesday.

One of the guys I deal with from AXE shafts has Triple diamond version of the rogue ST and says it hangs in as good as TM Stealth.

sdandrea1 we return to VA on Wednesday.

How was the turf interaction of the KE4 Max irons on the FL grass ? ..... or did I miss that ?

I brought the Hogans down here, left the Maltbys in VA. No matter, the Bermuda turf is up and fluffy this time of year here, so they would have been fine. The true turf test comes in Dec/Jan when things get tight.

Ain't that the truth. Like night and day. Just that little cushion of forgiveness makes all the difference in the world.
