Got to hit the Honma XP1 3w for the first time today. It's probably the only 3w in existence that I can launch off the turf into a reasonably high trajectory. This JDM stuff is geezer-friendly. My 5w arrives tomorrow.

I hit the XP1 5h today for the first time. It's stupid long and easy to hit straight. Get one.

    mgrin I was really, REALLY tempted to buy the driver. I guess the draw bias kept me from pushing the button.

        RB has a one day, 20% off 1 item sale. But........they price went up on the XP-1 series to compensate. 🤔🤨

            I hit the XP1 3 wood twice today and shocked myself both times. I had trouble finding the first one because I thought I didn't carry a marsh. We found it 25 yards past the marsh. These things are hot. The 5h is almost too long. I'd prefer a higher lofted hybrid. My 5w is in a box on the front porch. Headed there now.

                        Then, in your opinion, do you think it's Honma's shaft? Is the face "hotter?" OR, a combination of the two? I've got my eyes on a Honma faiirway wood, and I have store credit that's burning a hole in my pocket.....!

                              I almost pulled the trigger on the honma driver, but then I remembered two things:
                              1) At one point in time, Uncle Steve has pronounced untold hundreds of clubs as amazing, and
                              2) I'm married.

                              Oh, and I also remembered that I am in the middle of a driver funk so deep that no piece of metal on the end of a long stick is going to solve it. I wouldnt even be able to tell if it was a good driver or not.

                                rsvman2 Good call! Wait until you’re out of the funk. It amazes me how many peope come in for a driver fitting that are hitting it awful. I even mention that we will be back on such amd such a date if he wants to wait. “NO!!!!…. Need to spend $600 RIGHT NOW!!”
