Didn’t I set up a template for you before Steve and all you had to do was change the name of the club.😛

Here ya go ... found it from November 2020

Here, let’s just make this into a template for you. This way you can just insert the name of the club your are using each week...
So I've tried a few clubs in my hoing over the last 20 years or so. (Been playing for 50+, only hoing for 20 or so). I'm still baffled by how I can take play clubs that "shouldn't" fit me and play well. Today, on a lark I took out the ( INSERT NAME OF IRON SET)with ( INSERT NAME OF SHAFT), and a ( INSERT NAME OF DRIVER)and (INSERT NAME OF FAIRWAY WOOD). None of these clubs should work well for the geezer, but they did.......exceptionally. I was striping the ( INSERT NAME OF DRIVER) as long or longer than anything else. The irons felt heavy, but JAYSUS, my swing was right on plane with these. Had as good a round as I could have except for putting. I don't get it. Is fitting just a fine tuning tweak?

sdandrea1 Appreciate it, your FL club seems to have a very favorable demo program and like to hear about clubs. I bought two (7 & 9 irons) of the Maverick Max with graphite from your info. Like them. I'm, however, not able to get rid of clubs as easily as you do, now I have many types.

Nah, that just comes off as a humblebrag. I just read that and got embarrassed. I like this thread as a review of my wandering through the land of so-many-clubs-so-little-time.

sdandrea1 I got 18 holes in with this guy today. 12 degree model with stock Alta CB 55G Soft Regular flex. I had he loft setting on standard and the sliding weight all the way towards the heel (draw). Standard length, grip. Comments:

Very easy to hit straight, I mean dead straight.
I can't comment on forgiveness, because all 14 shots were struck in the middle of the face. See pic below.
Sound is different than the G400 and G410. It's not pleasing or irritating.....just a different kind of acoustic pop.
distance is good, not OMG good like the XXIO, but as far as anything else I've owned or tried. Keep in mind that anything over 200 yards is pretty good for me. I have demoed the G400 SFT and G410 Plus. Distance is about the same.
        I never tried a G400 Max, so I can't compare them.
Turbulators are still ugly.....I hate them. I still think the G10 was the best PING driver aesthetically....but that's just me.
I hit 13 of 14 fairways today. This thing is confidence inspiring. It is SOOOOO straight.
I did not fool with loft settings, but trajectory was fine for me.
Finally, I'm not paying full price. If I did anything, I'd try to find a used G400 Max for $12 first.

So do I have to go look for what club this is? I know it's a PING but...

          sdandrea1
Golf buddy put a Tensei Orange CK 60 in his Ping G410 SFT. He hit it very well today at Dunedin Golf Course (Donald Ross design).

toraider The list I put up from 1995 had a set of BB irons going for $1000....makes today’s prices a bargain!

          sdandrea1

You typically like draw bias drivers. Have you tried the Ping G425 SFT yet? The head is a little lighter than the Max at 202 grams. And it has 23 grams fixed in the heel opposed the movable 26 gram weight.

You lose a little MOI (forgiveness) with the weight in the heel opposed to being in the middle (back), but you hit the middle of the face anyway. 😎

sdandrea1 The only G425 SFT demo in the shop was a ladies model. I might take it out anyhoo.

Probably a good idea since the Rhapsody worked well for you. Didn’t you hit the G or g400 SFT?

Walterjn What makes it the ladies model?? Just the shaft flex???

Shaft weight, shaft length, and flex.
