Subsonic should be onto EVERY single poster in this thread who actually made a politically motivated post. He's more upset that I was concerned it might happen and spoke against it than it actually taking place. It's like me speaking out about rape and him being more upset that I brought the word rape up than it actually taking place and even right in front of his face. I have no tolerance or patience for that kind of ridiculous thinking in the same way I don't about the lie sold to people in the vax/virus thread. It's passion for what I perceive as truth. You have the same thing I do. Everyone does. You just may say it or choose not to say it differently than I do.

Plus, I will not relent on the idea that Sub should stay out of this thread if he's really so offended. Obviously, he isn't or wouldn't be here. Saying things like there's "no hope in me" is really out of touch and offensive. There's no hope in me because I'm passionate and don't like BS? Wow. I'm so sorry. Do I hate you? Do I hate hiim? Do I hate anyone here? No. I do admit I have an issue with one person here but that person has made it his personal mission to tear me down due to his own insecurities when we used to be good for years. Once considered him a friend and am saddened it is what it is today. I would choose to be friends with everyone here but him.

The world should be a better more in touch place than it is. That I agree with, but you just do you and I'll just do me.

He's had a heckuva run. 97 is longer than most.

I saw Liddy is a young 84. Glad they're both still going.

has to be a GB record....not that that really matters, just found this much conversation a little unusual.

I didn't care for the guy myself, thought he was too one sided and extremely polarizing.
But what caught my attention in this thread, is all the posters who criticized someone for
NOT taking the ""high road"" when someone wasn't like minded as themselves.
Sure it's sad when someone passes away, and we should show a certain amount respect for
the deceased's next of kin....
But how many times did Limbaugh take the proverbial "high road?""

I didn't care if this got 5 replies or 5000. I didn't want those who live their lives like their politics are everything to demean his death.

Would wish the same had I been here when RBG passed. I do understand these were polarizing figures with fans and detractors on both sides. My wish was to not see them do what they feel they always need to do based on their politics.

This was a good wish, or so I thought. I would wish the same had I been posting about RBG. Now, it's only a guess, but I don't think I would've taken any heat for that and, yeah, there is a little something in that statement.

I was remiss in not addressing this even kinder part of your reply.

For me, I can say with a straight face that I would love to know you, meet you, play a round of golf with you. I would not like to drink a beer with you because I don't drink. I just dont fit in. Never cared to. I do wonder why I would like to do these things and you wouldn't. I guess we're just different and that's not okay with one of us.

No matter what everyone thinks about politics, I'd still like to play a round of golf. We can argue over everything except politics, best beer, golf shaft, grip, ball, clubs....
