Checked outside 20 minutes ago and it was raining with no wind and 37. Just did the same thing and the temp is 28 with heavy wind and the ground is covered in snow. Looks like the front has arrived. Eff winter.

Currently -10* with wind chill at -38* here in central Iowa. It is done snowing here - got about 4-5” of the white stuff. Winds are blowing the snow pretty good. We are still under a blizzard warning. I80 was ‘travel not recommended’ most of today due to blowing snow, icy roads & lots of accidents. Roads in NW Iowa are now at ‘travel not recommended’ - probably due to drifting snow. We are not forecast to get above freezing til next Wednesday.

d5n03 Close to same temps here. Snow quit some time ago, and we did not get much at all. But the blowing made it look nasty. Bitter cold staying though. I'm locked in, needing nothing, til early next week. Forecast shows low 50's late next week. wth
Christmas will be next year. 😉

d5n03 Roads in NW Iowa are now at ‘travel not recommended’ - probably due to drifting snow.

My son lives at Denison, IA and we are planning on going to the Vikings/Giants game tomorrow.
Planning to but not sure we'll be able to get there in time because of road conditions. There are 8 of us hoping to get there. My daughter and son-in-law who live in southern Minneapolis could be the only
ones that actually get there.

Tonight and tomorrow is when the shit hits the fan here in NW Ohio. Raining now, temps in the 30's.
High winds all night and all day tomorrow with temps falling to near zero. Snow all day tomorrow.
Just hoping we don't lose power with the high winds.

At daughter's house near us, one bathroom pipe has already frozen up this evening. I mean it happened fast. It was in the low 40s this morning. But the north winds came in hard today.

Didn't end up with much snow! Temps started to dip late yesterday morning with wind. -9 with -35 wind chill. Expect my puddle jumper to turn over. Gotta go man the fort today as I doubt many will venture in!
