Gonna be getting a shit ton of rain again this Friday. I just picked up some hydraulic cement to fill the foundation crack. Only would leak when the ground was frozen during a huge rain storm. Used the cement years ago and it’s been fine. Last storm it leaked, the cement doesn’t last forever but doing it every 5 years is fine.

Ugh. We used to get those in the spring when I lived in West Texas. Farmers would plow up hundreds of miles of flat land for cotton and the strong westerly winds would blow this crap in. You could feel the grit in your teeth when outside and the red dust would get in your house as well.

Tomorrow I'm fuckin Uber again🙄... Gitta take my parents to the airport at 4;30 am. Fuckin A... they're going to Atlanta where its going to be -4 degrees. Plus we're gonna have 40 mph winds and heavy rain... wonder if they'll even get off the ground. My luck, they'll call to have me come back to pick them up right when I have to go pick up my youngest and his wife to take them for doctor appointments.

Only thing I wanted to do for myself tomorrow was to have a beer with the guys down at the golf course. And I bet that never happens.

Didn't get up til 8, and it was 8. Now, it's 1 & -20 w/c, and has been snowing since I got up. Looked for my paper and had to go over to the neighbor's yard to get it! Kinda breezy out there.
Everything is about 10 hrs. ahead of schedule, with this storm, so people...beware!

mulegolf I'm in what's called the snow belt. 30 miles south of the city of Erie and the lake that goes with it. The storms, deep snow, etc. used to come our way. Lake effect when the lake is not frozen over. We've been lucky for quite a few years. If the wind direction would be just right, we could get the stuff that Buffalo has been getting lately. I can remember 30 below and very deep snow years ago. Had a Chevy 30 four wheel drive van with lots of ground clearance and once got stuck right in the middle of the road on my way to work. Had to shovel the snow from under the van to get the tires back on the road. Oh the good old days.
