Working indoor golf tomorrow 9-1 so Iโll be hitting balls all morning. Maybe a sim round if one is open.
How did you shoot today at Golf
Had a 4-some today in the fog/clouds. We had a tie on the 1st 6 holes, I won the 2nd, 3rd and the total by 2 strokes. Not sure what I shot, but I made 25 quota points. Close contest, but I'm up $4
Another round today where I didn't notice that my rangefinder was on M and not Y until hole 14. Could not understand why my irons were coming up 10-15 yards short. Stoopid.

Played in a 4 man scramble yesterday, about 60 guys showed up for our men's league year end finale.
The really cool part was our new Yamaha carts have the YamaTrack GPS.
It has a scoring feature where you can see every teams score in real time.
We played like crap, still had 8 birdies but 2 bogeys and finished in 3rd place, 1st flight.
Plus surprisingly only took a little over 4hrs. to finish the round!
Had the unexpected confluence of time off from work and beautiful weather, so I headed to our local muni to play 9. It was crazy crowded, as you can imagine; we don't get that many 65-degree days in late December and when pretty much everybody is off work.
The round started with a horrible shot but ended with an absolutely fantastic one. I missed the first fairway wide right by about 40 yards.
On the 9th hole I had 82 yards for my approach shot, uphill, with a left-to-right wind. I had been hitting a little draw witu my irons all day, and I thought that the wind and my little draw might offset about perfectly, so I took aim at the flag with my A wedge.
I hit it solidly and right on line. I said 'be the right club.' I saw the ball land very close to the hole and i thought I was going to have a tap-in birdie. Well, I wasn't sure, but it looked like the ball was still moving and it looked like it was less than a couple of inches away. At that point, I said 'Go in the hole!,' but not expecting that it actually would, but then the ball just disappeared into the bottom of the cup for eagle!
I have been playing golf for 54 years and today was the very first time that has happened for me! I was extremely excited.
It was also my second eagle of the year; I made a one-putt eagle at a short par four in Utah in September.
Forgot to add that the ball mark was about 15 inches past the hole; the ball backed up into the cup. I was using a ProV1, which I almost never use.

60* day here today and played a course I donโt typically play in the spring/summer months. Shot a comfortable 82 with a triple bogey 7 on the 10th hole.

One one of the par 5โs I had 190 into the green. I decided to use my newly acquired paradym 7 wood (I tried to choke down and hit it easier)
But hit an absolute piss missile over the green. Had to hit my next shot left handed due to being next to a tree. Hit two really good shots with this club today. Really happy with it! Thanks pappy @Par4QC

colej I could maybe get more from it, but it's the yardage I wanted, so I just learned how to hit full swing and nail it(closely). Remember, I play a lot of rounds with Jake, so it never bothers me to see how far someone else hits any club. 5wd from the rough, over trees, from 250+ doesn't faze me anymore. Even when it hits the green.
That bastard.
A very sloppy 89.

Shot 46-39 today. I was very happy with that back 9 (Birdie on #10 and nothing worse than a bogey). Funny, on the front nine I missed 2 par putts from 4-5 feet but on the back nine I made 2 15 footers for par and the birdie was from about 20 feet.
Edit. It was great to get out and walk the course on an unseasonably warm day. It's going to be quite a bit colder a few days from now.
ode Thanks! I'm using a Yes Eleanor that's been in the bag for quite awhile. I also have a Yes Penny that I occasionally rotate in. I guess I'm fond of the "C groove" face, lol. The most recent new putter I bought was an Odyssey Marxman a couple years ago, but I ended up not liking it so I gave it to my son-in-law.
Played men's club tournament today. Shotgun start, hole 8. Started par, par, double bogey. Ended up 46/43-89. Before he is factored in for whatever final score. I got to break 90 properly, straight up.
My driver was working well. The last hole is a 397 par 4. When I ranged the pin for my approach shot, I was 133 away. I don't think I got much roll on that drive, ball flight was high. Then I doubled that hole
Typhoon yep, a beautiful drive that was 260ish total yardage. Then I push a 9 iron to the right of the green, chip on, and 3 putt. All in all, I'm surprised at how well I did. I didn't feel like I played that well. I played some dumb shots, yet got away with them. 6 double bogeys, and 5 singles. My driving was really good today, I'll see if I can pull it out the next full 18 course I play and see if it's still working.
Well, I just saw results of last week's men's club tournament. I won my flight.
So I almost paid for my entire round. The round, $10 mandatory buy in put me to about $80, I also tossed $20 into the skins, and closest to the pin contests as well.
Shit, I'm just happy to have played well, even though I didn't think I was.
Walterjn Nice Walter, well done.
