Didn't play but yesterday braveheart and I hit the local covered heated range. I think it hit high 30's yesterday, but at 10am it was still too cold for me . The overhead heater doesn't do much and the wind blows in there. My garage with space heater is warmer. Tough to follow your ball since you're hitting into a snow covered field, but they do have a shot tracer system. I hit the ball ok. Definitely signs of life. Great to bs with braveheart as we haven't been able to meet up in a while.

The Golfworks TC Pro 5h w/ Xcaliber RT95 R I built was really nice. This club just wants to hit it straight. Not as long as my Rogue 5h, but the lofts are different and the TC Pro hit higher and straighter. Was thinking I would not bring it on the FL trip, but now I want to build the matching 4h as I think that would match the loft and distance of the Cally 5h

KCee I also hit balls today……a buddy called and said he had found a range with heated stalls and asked if I wanted to meet him there. OMG it felt good to get out of the house and doing something golf related. As @KCee mentioned, seeing the ball in the air was tough b/c it was sunny and there was a solid cover of snow on the ground which made for an awfully bright background.

Still, I felt like I hit the ball pretty well with a lot of solid strikes. It was plenty warm in the stalls since there was no wind to speak of…..I hit with a turtle neck, a sweater vest and a wind shirt. Just good to have a club in my hands and outside hitting real golf shots after all this god-awful weather !!!

WellI played my first full round of 18 holes this past Tuesday since October of 2023. Played a local large municipal course. Been a while mostly due to having all types of skin cancers causing me surgeries each of the last 3 years and radiation for other cancers 4+ months each year. I shot 90 on the day. Shooting 43 on the front but 47 on the back. I made 2 birdies and 2 doubles on the front.
1 made it through 14 holes before I got wore out. But I finished the last few holes suffering several doubles.
Took me 2 days to get over it but I'm ready to play again, but the weather here calls for 6+ inches of rain the next 7 days πŸ˜–πŸ˜–πŸ˜£πŸ˜£.

sdandrea1 They are saying that if you hit nine greens, the upper end of the expected score is 79, which is seven over at most courses.

So, they are assuming you two-putt at worst on all the greens you hit, and that you get up and down twice on the other nine holes, meaning you would be allowed two putts on the other seven greens you missed.

Total putts 34 to score 79, 30 putts to score 75, qt the low end of your 'expected' score.

      No double chips.

Sounds like my game on my best days.

Hammer4413 Happy for you that you were able to get back out there. I would probably have planned 9 holes for my first time back; not surprising that you got tuckered out by the 14th hole.
Still, fantastic news that you were able to get back at it!

sdandrea1 I wonder how many putts are assumed in the math.

Who knows, definitely not enough for me.

sdandrea1 garyt1957 Bad speed and bad line

C'mon Gary. You only have to get 2 things right. What could go wrong

Well for me, bad speed and line, lol

Played the original course at The Villages, Orange Blossom. Shot 93 with 40! putts! This is ridiculous. I have absolutely no control of speed, and can't hit my line. Indifferent chipping isn't helping. Actually hit the ball reasonably well. but only hit 3 GIRs. Just embarrassing.
Remarkably my hdcp has remained at 10.7 but 7 of the next 9 rounds are counted in my best so it is going to explode upward pretty soon.

garyt1957 Man went the doctor with severe headaches. Doctor could find no reason but told him sometimes men's nuts caused such things. Only way to alleviate the headaches would be removal of them. The man was in agony and said to do it. A couple weeks later, free from headaches, he felt like he needed a lift in spirits. So he went shopping for new clothes. Picked out a nice suit, shirt, etc.. The salesman reminded him to get new underwear and asked what size. 32 the man said. Well, I think you need 36 at least said the salesman. The man told him he had worn 32 for several years. The salesman said that may well be, but wearing underwear too small will squeeze your nuts and give you severe headaches.

IOW, are you sure you want to keep visiting us doctors here for putting advice?🀣
