Dint plan on playing but figured I’d see if it was busy. Course was empty. I thought I only had time for a few holes so I took a cart. Nobody in front of me. Flew around 9 holes in under an hour. Shot 31. After having my driver head break I got to #9 , 400 yard par 4. I had to lay up short of the brook with a 5 iron. From there I hit a nice 7 iron to 8 feet and made the putt for birdie. Nice way to end the year.

Shot 47/47 today in the league. My first iron shot of the day felt so nice and I almost made birdie. After that I really struggled with irons. Only 3 gir. Too many double bogeys and not enough pars to offset them. Three strokes out of the money in my flight.

Walterjn 6 over par is solid. I was thinking of taking a 7 iron and wedge and play with the pro shop guys but that’s out the window🙄. Sounds like you’re minimizing your bad holes.

Typhoon I took a break from playing so I could get the tack trunk done. I played once last week, and so far 3x this week. Hopefully I can get back to playing more as I'm almost done with the trunk. I just need to get one or 2 more things to finish it off so I can take it south on Tuesday. Then I can see about working on Christmas ornaments.

sdandrea1 that it is. The longest hole is 250 yards, with a narrow window for your tee shot from the back tees, and about 200 yards from the forward tees. The greens are All sloped, yet play about a 10, for the size of the crew, and cost to play, and roll pretty true. The entire course from the blue tees, is about 1600 yards. The greens, while being sloped, are all damn near postage stamps, the largest single green, is #6.

sdandrea1 definitely good short game practice. Good place to work on my irons. Great place to work on green reading for lines.
Fantastic place to learn the game at, or hang out on the patio enjoying some tacos, and conversation with any number of the characters that show up.

2 of the kids from work and another senior played a match. 2 man best ball, $10 a side.
Was tied until 6 then we won 7 and 8 to close out the front. Rain started on 9 so match was shortened. Shot a 39 in cold, windy and wet conditions. Short game saved me, got up and down for par 5x

Shot 42/45 yesterday. The cold wind really got me on the back nine. Hit the ball pretty well considering I didn't touch a club for 2 weeks. Horrible short game though. First time in a long time I can remember the wind gusts were strong enough to move the ball on the greens during our last few holes.

45/39 today. Got the blades dialed in by the back 9. Nice short game scoring clubs. Yummy sound and feel!!

Had not touched a club in 2 months but played yesterday. I’m off this week and might play today

43-39 with two lost balls and two birdies 😂

The ping g430 10k continues to impress me. Also put the callaway AI smoke max 4 wood into play. Hit that pretty well but may mess with the adapter a bit.

        8 days later

85 today. Gotta get a handle on these double bogeys. Won 3 of the 4 games and made my quota so I'm $5 up.

Typhoon Well none of that has happened in over 20 years.

Put some lipstick on the hand of your choice and you're good to go
