How did you shoot today at Golf
I played a scramble yesterday, too. Gave us ten feet of string but no mulligans. Tao of the guys on my team likely only play twice or three times a year.
I hit some really good shots, including a 9-iron to three feet on one hole, but the also some pretty bad ones. My putting, normally my strong suit, was middling. Greens were super slow and I never really got used to it.
We shot 19 under and finished fourth.
I hurt my right wrist hitting a mid-iron fat in wet ground, then aggravated it bu doing it again after the round hitting a bucket of balls. Hurts a little but still, but I think it'll be fine.
Really wanted to finish in the money and it's my mediocre putting that kept that from happening.
Managed to get out and it was nice not to have to play the close tohome slumpbuster. Everyone must have been watching the Lions as I only saw one other group on the course.
I played 18 in 2:17. Shot 39-42-81. The pitching yips are back and cost me a really good round on the back nine. Had back to back birdies on the front but two doubles and a triple kept me from a great score.
Played The last 6 holes In a light drizzle but was just happy to be out there.
Excellent play for me continues. Shot 38-39 at The Duke in Maricopa. Only 4 fairways and 8 greens. Wedge play and putter were on fire. 27 putts on the day due to several chips inside a 3 foot circle. Made several 10+ foot putts including a 20 footer on 18 for my only birdie on the day. Had one triple on the card, 13 pars 1 birdie. 3 of my last 5 rounds in the 70's. Handicap is down to a 9.7. I am happy.
Big match play tournament this past weekend. We won 3/5 in our flight which was good but disappointing. The first 9 hole match my partner and I had 7 pars and 2 bogies and we lost by 2. One player beat us both with a maybe 60+ ft birdie putt and maybe 40-50 ft bird putt....he lipped out 3 other long ones. The greens were the hardest and fastest we've ever had them and this guy was unreal. His partner made only 1 par, but on the lone hole this guy needed him.
Next round we made 7 pars and 2 bogies and we won 7 up lol. Pretty sure we had 7 pars and 2 bogies in each match and we won 7 up, 4 up and 2 up and the 2 losses were both 2 down. The other lost match it was 1 hot guy as well, but he was just perfect from tee to green that round. Not too often an 18 cap shoots even par for 9 on a windy day with fast greens and a # of difficult pins. He's not a sandbagger either, he just had the 9 holes of his life.
First round in a week, I shot 38-42 with 9 greens and 34 putts including two 3 putts. I didn't make a putt today.
I started even par through 6 holes, and the course gets easier after hole 7. But I seemed to lose focus by about the 13th hole. I made a bunch of crappy approach swings coming in.
Went around my little course 2x today.
1st 9 was 5 over with one double bogey and 5 pars.
The 2nd was the same score 5 over with one triple bogey, one double bogey, two birdies, 3 pars.
I shot 39-42-81 this morning at Bedford Hills GC in Temperance, MI. I played OK the front, but fell apart on the back.
8 GIR, 35 putts, 0 birdies, and I got up and down from off the green only ONE time ouf of 8......terrible chipping!
Today was day 1 of 2 of the club championship. I shot 78 net 73 which puts me in 4th both gross and net. First gross had 73 and first net 71. Bear in mind we’re all 55+, we don’t have any scratch or better index guys here.
I had no birdies but no doubles. I missed a 5 footer for birdie. It had some break, but I made a crap stroke. Too much thinking. 3 great shots wasted.
Had to cut it to 9 holes due to my wife’s sore shoulder. A great day to be alive in the outdoors, not a great score with 48. Hit 6 very good drives, but the only green in regulation and only par was on a 175 yard second shot up the hill with a 4 wood rolling 20 feet past the hole. Played on a course with a 128/69.7 slope/rating from the white tees, which is above my pay grade. I love to play it though. Just over swinging the irons on most of my swings and combined it with a really sucky short game.

Whoever was inhabiting my body today did not know how to putt.
I shot 86 with 38 putts, and that is not counting the ones from the fringe. I had three 7's on the card, all involving 3 or 4 putts. I hit 9 greens, which should yield about a 77. It was the worst putting day for me in a long, long time.
Oh well, shit happens.
Fall Shootout today. I sucked. No idea where the driver was going. Shot 91 but my 19 index partner shot 80, his PB, and we qualified. True alternate shot with final 10 teams and we breezed thru the first fee holes before we fell apart. Our first Shootout we didn't place. Bound to happen I guess.

13 FWs
9 GIRs
2 birdies (with 4-5 missed short by an inch or 2!)
1 bogey(on a Par 3, of all places)
26 putts....and I'm complaining that was too many!!
Best round in a few years; hit every club really good, even the new 455DB, 8*. Did not get the height of the old days, but they went as far as I've been hitting lately; a couple to new spots. And anyone that says those heads are not forgiving......I was all over the face...see FWs hit above.
Oh yeah......-1.....71.
