Season low +1 , 73 (35/38) today at my buddy's course for Member Guest practice round.
13/14 fairways and 16/18 greens. Had 9 birdie putts under 10 feet and only converted one .....but wont complain

    39/37
Felt like the best round I've played this year and ended up with that 76.🤔
Had a rare double thanks to a bunker and being extremely short sided; flag was only 5' on. Maybe less.
Another rarity was 10 GIRs! Which led to 30 putts. My fault for leaving several putts 6" short.
9 fw hit, but in my defense 3-4 actually went through the fw, I was hitting so well. 😉

Took out some older toys this time, along with the Neuro.X Tour driver (a few holes) which is an amazing club, with the Leveler shaft. Acer Tour Blades are highly overlooked/underrated. New stuff is overrated. Yet I have both.

Not golf shooting but last night I went 5-0 in my pool league. In addition, I went 5-0 last week as well. I currently have a 13 game winning streak going on. Over my last 4 weeks, I am 18-2. I am playing very good and have shot up to 9th in our league from around 35th in 4 weeks.

Is it OK to thread jack my own thread?🤣

Well, sounds like you got a lotta balls, so......

      😅

Incomplete. I made two mistakes today. First trying to play golf after mowing the lawn. My back is stiff as a board from all the walking with and maneuvering of the mower. Two, was to go to the nine hole goat ranch course on a nice Saturday afternoon. After taking two hours to play 6 holes (and this is an abbreviated par 33 nine hole course) me and the boy decided to walk back in since that was the closest point we would be to the parking lot for the next hour. Went to Wimpy's and had delicious burgers.

johnnydoom two mistakes today. First trying to play golf after mowing the lawn.

I've mowed after playing 18 a couple times this summer.
It's a mistake either way you do it. Before or after. 😫

Wimpy's...burgers.....🤣. Now you gotta go back on Tuesday?

Went around my little course 2x yesterday. Neither were really spectacular rounds. Most of it was bogey golf. I was hitting my longer irons fairly well on the two holes I hit them(5 iron) on. It was either a nice draw, or straight. Still working on hitting a draw on command. My wedge work was pretty good, especially on 2 holes. I hit my 60° to within 6" on both, one flying 20some yards to hop a couple time and stop, the other was a low running shot that hit the pin and stopped.
I ended up joining a couple buddies on #4, and we got to play through a slow group on 5. Both guys hit poor tee shots in front of the slow group, then we're half begging me to hit a decent shot to show that we played. I was fortunate enough to hit a nice high 7 iron that dropped just a few yards short of the green from 175ish out. Then I screwed up the chip.

Walterjn I know you’ve been busy but how’d the swing speed stuff with the pineapple go? Are you still doing it? Did you see any distance gains that have stayed with if if you have taken a break from the pineapples?

Typhoon I have taken a bit of a break from them. I have seen a little bit of distance gain from using them. Mostly with my shorter clubs, especially my wedges. I can send my 60° 90+ yards with a full swing. I have been keeping my feet close together for better ball contact, and I'm not chucking my wedges near as much, with my feet together it also keeps me from really swinging out of my shoes,
My driver is still my problem club as I don't get much use from it at my little course. I've taken to playing that course irons only. Hitting my 5 iron on the 2 longest holes, 214 and 257 respectively. Most of the time I'm well within an easy 60°.
Last week I did pull them out again and swing them a few times, with a bare shaft I did see a swing speed of 145. Most of the time it's 130ish.
The last time I pulled them out, I did keep my heels together, just to see what I could get to like that. I think I'll start playing with my feet together and see how that goes.

              3rd straight 76....39/37. Same course.
Used the 3rd different set of irons and 3rd different driver(s).

And it took me an extra 1.5 hrs. 🤬

Shot 40/44......84 yesterday. Driver is getting worse, but wedge game is getting better. I 3-putted a few times as well, but everyone did. They had the greens slick for a big tournament and then tucked all the flags on slopes. The pins on #10, 11 and 12 were brutal. We had to play behind the tournament and it wound up being almost a 5 hour round..uggh.

I feel like I should be shooting high 70's, but can't seem to stay focused for more than 12 of 18 holes. Maybe I need some of my kid's ADHD meds.

37/40 today at Shipyard course on HHI- Green tees @5203y. Nice Bermuda turf with aerated/sanded greens. The greens rolled surprisingly well. Played with the vintage PING travel set. SWMBO shot 48/47. Her putter was ON (she's usually around 100-105 in a new course).

Big fat stinker for me yesterday as it was just one of those days. You know the days of putting where even your good putts find a way to miss and the shots I hit perfectly managed to just miss the green - had several shots that I hit exactly the way i wanted but the end result was not good I always say its better to be lucky than good and I had no golf luck yesterday. Having said that, I have had many day where I thin approach shots and they end up working out and mishit putts that find the hole because the read was slightly off - its a funny game for sure
