Nice round Ron!👍. I gotta get out and play. It's almost time to stop moving in and start living.

Thanks Steve.....You've had what amounts to a full time JOB going on, and I'll bet you're glad it's almost over!
Now get out there and play.....IF you can find your clubs, LOL! 😂

Couples league…par 3 scramble format last night…25 gross 19.8 Net…squeaked out 1st place in the front 9 flight by 0.3 stroke(s) to win the $70 purse.

My bride has a sore back this morning from having to carry my sorry azz all night…I was pulling/hooking every damn club that I used except my putter…warm up on the range was just fine…but on the course it was just one of “those days” 😡😜

I have Playing lesson today for 2 women. Just our front 9. I ended up -6😂. Changing back to my lighter Ping Redwood Anser that I’ve used the past couple years was the difference. 2 putt birdie on the first hole, 8 foot eagle on 4 and then birdied 7,8 and 9. Irons worked well so what I was working on at the range was correct.

The 2 women said it was the best they have ever played as well so that was a big win.

fatshot Now get out there and play..

SWMBO and I are calling a halt to unpacking and loading up the clubs to head to Hilton Head on 10 AUG for a week. Can't wait!!

      GREAT idea.....you DESERVE it !!!!

sdandrea1 I don't know much about such places like Hilton Head, sounds fancy/expensive, but if it were me & I didn't want to look out of place...and my clubs had a lot of 'unused rust'....I'd be looking for something nice to take.

But, that's just me, and not knowing things.

      😂

We have a time share there. It includes play at 3 courses for cart fee, otherwise it would be pricey, yes.......and you know I don't care about looking out of place.😉

Bravopilot Yeah, some of those Geezer band outfits prove that sir😎 I can send the COSTCO drive to ops check?

I wear camouflage bucket hats and plaid shorts, but not when playing golf with SWMBO. Then she dresses me. 😉

You can send me anything you want tested. I'm yours!!!!

Played the local muni yesterday. 2nd day with the new Black Ops driver, but this time I tried the new XCaliber Mystic 4S shaft. First 6 holes, did OK with it, hit all the fairways but nothing special. Then on 7, flushed it. And continued to flush it. Heading into #18, had hit 13/13 fairways. And it was dilemma time. #18 green runs diagonally, front left to back right, so driver left gives the best look. But there is a bunker left at 230 off the tee. Get over the bunker, you get a perfect look at the pin. In the fairway, you have to clear a big bunker to the back right pin.

My usual play is to aim at the bunker and swing hard. Or do you play fairway to get 14/14 on the day?

I flushed it right over the bunker into the left rough. Easy 6 iron to the middle of the green.

Irons were decent (11 GIR), but putter really didn't do much. Kelly had better get those XECUTE 1.0s ready to go soon.

Got out for 18 today at Lee's Hill. 41/38. First round in 3 weeks I think! 100 degrees out and I joined the only other player on the course I think. Got around in 3 hours. 7 bogies, 11 pars. Felt good to play golf and not do moving shit. 😀😁

Today I lost 3 balls and walked away from the course, 48/ 50- 98.
My buddy skipped his ball about 4 times on the little pond we had to hit over on hole 12. The 1st time his ball touched water was just over half way. Then it skipped a few more times and made it to dry land.

Shot 43-41 today at Power Ranch Golf Club. Only had 2 GIRS but wasn't missing by much. My wedge game was solid leading to only 27 putts on the day. I kept having in between club distances on my approach shots and couldn't adjust. I had a run of 6 straight pars from hole 9 through 14. The wheels came off a little and I played the final 4 holes at +5. I felt I played better than my score showed.

I also got to yell at the millennials we got paired with. They were jabbering a bit when we were swinging on the tee to start. That's not what set me off. It was the 4 times that they hit the gas pedal on their cart right in the middle of either mine or my partners downswing. The brake pedal releasing makes a lot of noise. They were much better and more aware after I lit into them.

Played our back 9 for a change today, ho hum -3. Did miss a green though but it was from a fairway bunker. Smoked some tee shots. Got my iron striking and ball flight back the las couple weeks. I'm thinking of resting the Nike Vapor pro's for a while and using the Ping i500 irons that are the back up/Rockstar set. really liked them at Top Golf, might as well take them out to play.

Shot 43/39 for 82 in cool, soggy conditions. Struggled a bit with R flex shaft in driver. Flex felt ok but balance felt off. Also struggled chipping and putting with slow greens. Some beautiful iron shots though.

Shot 42/46 today in overcast conditions but in the 70's all day. Great weather for August in St. Louis. Putting was pretty good, 30 putts including a 4 putt. My driver was a struggle, but a new one is supposed to arrive on Saturday. Irons were decent and my play around the greens was better than normal.
