Played 18 today, rough start to the round. Went double, double, single, triple.... man, I was struggling on the 1st 4 holes. I was hitting my 5 iron off the tee on 1, 3, and 4. I'd be lucky to get it past the forward tees. My second shot was a better shot, on all of those holes. I finally pulled my driver on hole 5. Somehow I managed to hit a nice high, draw. That hole is played over a ravine, or from hill top, to hill top, with the low point being 150 to the green. It's about 350 yards. I had about 100 yards left, and my ball rolled back down hill about 20 yards from where it landed.
I ended up 51/43- 94. I had 3 pars, 7 singles, 7 doubles, and one triple bogey.
I started to hit my driver decently. I started to keep my feet close together, that way i cant try to force anything with it. I still had a few that got away from me, nothing out of bounds with my driver, just to the right in the rough. I did pull draw my 6 iron OB, on 16. Used the drop zone, and hit my 60° pin high from about 75-80 yards.
It was a good way to destress from the morning's frustrations and news.
